This is pretty interesting. But not as interesting as the Chinese food discussion.

I Santi (how could anybody not?), but he's 32 and been fit for basically about three months over the past two years. It's been time to move on for awhile now.

I just wonder how it can be that our players are out for 11 months on injuries that are originally thought to be 3 months. It keeps happening.

Really? That's changed drastically since I used to play.

When I played somewhat seriously we had set piece practice of some sort at every session.
02-23-2017 , 11:08 AM
We never practiced set pieces. I don't know why though.

Edit: My personal opinion is that a team should be practicing them cos that's how you improve the best in them. I think the thinking why we never practiced them went along the lines of "the players wouldn't improve as players but only tactically in the short term", but I think there are some valuable skills to be learned, even when practicing some specific thing.

I'm guessing (not meaning to cause offence) that it is still practiced regularly at lower levels, but the further you climb the less focus is put on it

Indeed. The better sides focus on selfies, spit-roasting girls and social media.

Guess it's a little hit and miss but in most cases, yank chineses aren't great. There off the menu stuff is actually good and if not better than UK stuff. Ironic that I didnt like authentic stuff from actual china because it was all street vendors but after a few days it was actually better.

Australian and New Zealand chineses in my experience have been utter aids and they don't do any off menu items which is ****ing ******ed and shows how bad they actually are. Plus they just lace them with massive chunks of carrots and broccoli.

Yank Chinese food is great up until college. **** is the worst once you're an actual adult capable of appreciating and affording real food. Feel bad for anyone who eats American Chinese food on a regular basis

Chinese food is fast food and the gulf that generally applies to fast food USA and fast food UK applies absolutely in this case.

That said I eat some chinese take away in San Fran that was elite and is still memorable a few decades later as a top 10 life time meal. Did not have to pay through the nose for it either. Had to queue for quite a while tho.

You can eat well in the UK if you are prepared to pay for it, low to mid level food in this country is still utter gash compared to 90% of other countries and especially USA where they have low to mid level absolutely nailed.

I think Indian food is a big exception here since you can get absolutely amazing meals for mid to low prices if you know where to go. Indian food is rarely expensive at all. Also a lot of cities have amazing middle eastern food for cheap too.

Yea Indian is the one thing we have, but what low mid range food shall I buy.......hmm Indian it is, gets old.
