I wasn't, it was an hilarious joke.

I didn't see the game yesterday as I ventured to Sligo to watch the mighty Armagh go full Arsenal. How did we play? Reading the reports loos like Miki was pretty good?

confirming the payment for my first quarter score has been received.
thanks for running Taul Paul.

Don't think anyone commented on this, and seeing as we don't really have any fans of these teams, not sure if anyone actually watched. I certainly can't comment on it myself. Anyhow, this is pretty incredible (from @statsbombIQ).

3% chance of winning => 4 goal win

So Armagh lost?

Completely random, and I'm just a Murican from Massachusetts and my family's been here since before the revolutionary war so wtf does it even matter.

BUT my mum's a genealogy nut and traced her side of the family's (name at least) back to Armagh in like the 1400s os. We have a family crest there she sought out, I guess. I thought it was cool. She's been but Iv'ent

You need to knock this on the head bud. It's just getting stupidly boring now.

Palace where actually 62% for a home win and most teams will be around that for a 0-4 win.

I think mw is suggesting the xG, not odds, suggested Sunderland win that game 3%

It is shocking to have those stats and lose 4-0

We led by 6pts in the 2nd half and managed to draw with Sligo. Not good.

I just checked Caley's and 11tegen11's XG variants for that game and they have it way closer: Caley has it 1.9 - 0.6, 11tegen11 has it 1.3-1.01 with the result probability 43%-29%-28%.

Must have been some weird shots in that game, usually all are pretty close.

Perhaps you should watch the highlights and you might see if there were some weird shots
02-07-2017 , 05:29 AM
i listened to the highlights, sounds like there indeed were some weird shots

Thanks for posting that. My mate ended up with 4 players from palace in our FPL draft game after PVA moved. He decided to keep them all for the Sunderland game meaning he couldn't transfer out Wilson for anyone (have to get back down to 3 players from 1 team with your next transfer). I watched motd blind with him and watching him go from optimistic of a haul to devastated at 4 points from 4 players was an absolute delight. Needless to say I have forwarded him that graphic

I have just watched the Sunderland goals.

I'll give an expert description of each one:
1) Some bloke rams in a ball that has been spilled by the goalkeeper after he was challenged for a high ball by a Sunderland player.
2) Some other bloke strikes from 25 yards in a central area - I think Sunderland turned the ball over, he had a bit of time on the ball. I'm not sure if the keeper should have done better, despite the replay showing numerous angles they didn't show one that allowed you to judge how far in the corner it was.
3) Neat finish from an angle (although not an excessively tight one) from Little Arnold with his left foot. The same goal that he has been scoring all his career, basically.
4) Another neat finish from Little Arnold, this time from an angle on the right hand side. He did well to spin his defender. Another typical Defoe goal.

I'm not an expert or a statistician, but with Defoe in those last two shooting positions, I'd imagine he finishes each one more than 10% of the time, which is what the graphic appears to be suggesting.

I'm not sure how you end up with 4 Palace players though, one is too many.

just passing by to tell you I'm travelling in Turquey for work so I will check paypal later when I get to a hotel.
Is it easier if I send the money directly to one of the winners? Please let me know.

Oh, come on, don't be a killjoy. OAFK meltdowns are great entertainment.
