On PKs, unless you completely telegraph where you're going, you can tamely hit it on target and you have a 2 in 3 chance of converting the PK. Drilling it over the top of the goal you have a 0% chance of converting the PK. If you're not an elite PK taker who knows he can pick the top of the corner you should probably just get it on frame and make the keeper guess right
and make a save. The Yank for Reading literally hit it tamely at the keeper and scored
