Rooney gets ton of abuse and rightly so but Mata was atrocious and has been for some time, nice guy but the definition of a luxury player, would snap swap for Mahrez/Mane.

I was out all day so I did the retro "avoid all footie scores and watch MOTD blind" thing. Never doing that again.

Must say it's infuriating that not only do they not show a clock on the highlights (so any second half action could be the last move of the game, or there could be half a ****ing hour left and we're none the wiser) but they now apparently don't even bother putting the score in the top corner. And some commentators choose to relay the highlights in story form, telling us who won before showing us the action.

Also, how is Mark Lawrenson still getting paid to talk about football? Hope he dies.

ye highlight shows spoilering games before or during play still one of the big "wtfs" of our time
the internet seems to have ruined these shows completely

I watch each game individually on fullmatchesandshows.com for that reason(they have full games up like 30 mins after a half has ended as well for bigger games)

The first show you should have been exposed to should anyways be WÖAT ÖAT ran, isn't it? If that were the case for me, I wouldn't even have nostalgic feelings, I don't think. Yeah Ran was the first. Don't have much of a memory though

Sportschau took back over when I was 9 or 10 (not sure if 2002 or 2003) so I do have some fond memories of me and my bro watching it and ruining the couch by doing goalkeeper practice
