an idiot was caught drunk driving, 3x over limit. no mot. had insurance but it may have been invalidated due to no mot. one previous conviction (over 30 years ago), an ABH or common assault type thingy which carried no jail time. since being caught, idiot is seeking treatment for depression & alcoholism
law allows for a prison sentence of a few months, i wanna know if its likely to come to that or if we're in fine + community service/suspended sentence territory
This show is clearly trying to paint a certain picture. I guess they couldn't cut out every instance of someone claiming that the Avery family are a notorious bunch, to put it mildly, but they didn't really explore that part, either. I mean, they all look like actual ****ing inbreds. The viewer is left having to make assumptions. Based on what we've been shown, yeah, the verdict seems hilarious, not because he 100% didn't do it (I think there's a very good chance he did do it), but because the whole "beyond reasonable doubt" thing.
His ******ed nephew is probably innocent as ****, though. LÖL at that "confession". How does that hold up in court?
The depiction of the behaviour of the dead girl's family is understandable, imo. They want to see somebody burn. They lost a loved one. They aren't thinking rationally.
All in all I don't understand all the hype around this thing. I liked "Capturing the Friedmans", "Staircase", and above all "Paradise Lost I, II and III" way, way better.
Bizarre situation + Emotive driven content = Gold
Would be interesting to hear the reasons HBO turned it down

but The Jinx is elite.
We are just lucky to be alive in this alternate universe to witness the Jinx, talk about binking the documentary lottery!
New LMS starting on Tuesday, €10 entry, PM for bank details or paypal. Or send $11.50 to matt20 on stars. Usually pays out around €1000 to the winner (unless you're the Goatian and bink it the one time it hit €1500!)
anyhow, united fans need to be ****ing scared in advance of the cup tie. we've just signed one of their most prolific goalscorers in recent years. check out the finish starting from 1:25, beautiful one touch football in the build up, and getting a perfect header to leave the keeper stranded. liquid football.
