There is a markup varying between 1.5 and 2.0 on most beers closer to 2.0 for the majority of them. That's without including shipping costs but just saying these beers are basically sold at a local bar's rate so this site is making a huge margin of profit per unit sold. I can literally take a 5 minute walk and buy all of those at half the price listed on the site. Obviously belgian beer goat and all that so still worth it.

obv your local store to your local customer is going to be cheaper, unfortunately i don't have the luxury of being based in belgium to acquire said beers, it's a damn sight cheaper than other places i've previously bought beer off and the shipping's cheaper as well, even compared to other places i've bought off domestically
12-30-2015 , 08:51 PM
for sure go for it. i have no idea what kind of margin e-commerce websites selling domestic beers do was just shocked to see that they're literally selling it at twice the price the consumers can buy it for locally. seems huge

it's a darn shame those Chinese/Malaysian electronics warehouses haven't branched out into craft beers yet. I ordered a couple of iphone screens and a USB adaptor today and got change out of a fiver.

So, half way through the season, think it's time for a TP v Fan FPL update.

The scores on the doors are:

FPL expert who claims to have solved the game, but can't seem to manage to set his team, bench or captain correctly for any given week - 1,028 (overall rank ~ 440k)

Button clicker who once captained Wayne Rooney - 1,045 (overall rank ~ 305k)

Should have 100 points deducted for this misery though.

Three threads in the EDF forum called Mistakes (there's a part 1, 2 and 1.5). GOAT stories. Read them a few years ago, still sometimes think about them when I feel like I've got problems or have ****ed up in some way.

Did you buy multiple bottles? For me, Westy 12 gets insanely awesome with some age on it.

Btw, if anyone in France or Belgium can hook me up with Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen(and then ship to the states), I'd be forever grateful. Obviously I'd find a way to pay slightly over the odds just to get it and not have to fight with other 'muricans on various sites.

I never venture out of SE so have no idea what EDF even is but I will track it down. Sounds elite

honestly wouldn't mind doing such thing but I'm thinking if you're rich enough to cope with the shipping costs of a package from Belgium to USA who are absurdly high, you should be able to afford to buy them online.

Where did you get a taste of them?

Cantillion is highly coveted and highly traded among the beer nerd community here (of which I'm a member)

nah, I was super keen at first and wrote a ton of extra material (most of which ended up in part 1.5 on here) but it quickly became clear that it wasn't going to get published unless I spent several years of my life writing more and editing every detail, and I lost interest. If you followed asdman's "On Changing Your Life" thread you'll have a good idea just how good a piece of writing needs to be, and how much work is required from the writer, to even come close to a book deal. Hats off to him for getting it done, but it was never happening for me.

Here's the links btw:

Kind of sad that in the country with all the football money the women's deaf team needs to go with a tin cup to get donations for world cup expenses. I guess it's an FA admin issue with "Team GB"

But solid on a 22 year old to step up.
