I see all this talk everywhere about Pep choosing where he wants to go, but in all seriousness, why would City choose him over Simeone (or even keeping Pellegrini)?

Skimmed the narrative article but enjoyable read. Wary of pep. Don't want to be posting here in 3 years time saying we were better off sticking with Rafa than falling for pep/mou.

Also anyone willing to give Pearson some credit for Leicester? Think Kante was approved by him. Of course he's a **** and no ones willing to say good job.

xmas dinner at the pearson household not gonna be very pleasant imo. i wonder how much money his son's racist antics cost the family. probably 8 figures.

He refused to play mahrez almost all last year

Depends what view you want to take. Pearson developed / worked with him tactically to enable him to reach this level. Or Ranieri freed him from big bad Nigel. Both stories have merit. Public decides.

Well that confirms it then ... surely gone now

1/10 on SkyBet too.

Combined salaries or potential earnings (assuming you're saying Pearson takes them to number 1)?

Credit shared anyway. Both with successes and faults. Nigel should've played mahrez more but responsible for most of squad, Ranieri almost didn't sign kante and needed to be persuaded, his tactics have worked (with run good and god mode). Maybe Claudio could send a donation to the pearsons.

yea i mean its ridiculous to think that the bloke who just got fired from managing the greek national team cos they lost to the faroe islands has some magic tactical scheme or training method which has led to this leicester season. similar stuff woulda happened with pearson.

think of the narrative: bloke with ok hair takes leicester from mid table championship side to promotion, survives the first year against all the odds, and then a pair of blokes that he brought in for 500k and 1m do what they're doing. pundits would be showering him with praise, ex-players would be lining up to give interviews about how great a manager he is, fergie would be in the media trying to take credit due to a 5 minute phone call the two had, etc etc. he'd still be getting employed 10 years from now on the back of this.

Because he's the best football coach on the planet?

Is that because you keep trying to get her to watch LVG's Man Utd?
12-22-2015 , 03:55 PM
City would be a far better choice for him than Chelsea.
He is clearly the best coach, but has only done so at clubs that didn't need a total overhaul.

His own antics must've contributed as well.

with pearson, mou and now LVG looking to be on the way out per the incredibly reliable source that is Twitter, the league is in desperate need of managers providing interview antics.

at least Pulis has been stepping up his game

Pearson / Ranieri is oddly similar to Ranieri / Mourinho ten years ago.

Team that wins title in 2005 consists of bunch of players either bought by (Lampard, Terry*, Gallas, Makelele, Gudjohnsen*,Duff) or identified (Cech, Robben) by Ranieri. Mourinho comes in to take over from the tinkerman who, for whatever reason, isn't taken as seriously. Wins title a couple of times, buys Shaun Wright Phillips, Sheva, Ben Haim, falls out with most talented player robben - sells him and is hailed a genius while the tinkerman, for whatever reason, isn't taken seriously.
Ten years later, it seems that the tinkerman is now the mou. How times and fortunes have changed.

*Terry was youth but Ranieri gave him his chance. Gudjohnsen was bought by Vialli but played regularly under Ranieri.

zaids all that can be easily explained by hair, mou hair >>> ranieri back in 2004 therefore mou was responsible for that team's success and tinkerman = joke. nowadays ranieri's hair is approximately equal to pearson's but ranieri is foreign and has a vowel at the end of his name which is a clear tiebreaker.

Skrtel confirmed out for 6 weeks
12-22-2015 , 05:24 PM
Is that a Sakho-Toure partnership or Can goes back?
12-22-2015 , 05:44 PM
pool midfield is a disaster

ridiculous that all passing options for sahko is closed down by 2 strikers and capoue, really what should happen vs a half-arsed forward press is that it is casually beaten and coutinho et al is sprung into space

like how is moreno not available as an outlet and if he is not, how is the left sided cm not available instead. basic u13 4-3-3 play too hard for storied team in blitw

While it's just begun to get tougher, it has to be noted that Leicester have had perhaps the easiest schedule itl so far. The toughest away game they'd played was last week
12-22-2015 , 05:52 PM
we're at 17 games, ie two more to go until everyone has played everyone once. and one of those is vs lolpool.
