As ao says, keep players, get some depth, go for it. Plus player transfer values of guys like mahrez and vardy are safe and potentially more in 5 months. It has been scientifically proven impossible for them to have such a severe drop in form from such heights in such a short period of time.

Kokorin would actually be a great pick up for Leicester.

Before the United game it was, Leicester are facing their first run of big games.

United, Swansea (a), Chelsea, Everton (a), Plop (a), City, Bournemouth, Spurs (a)

Who'd have honestly thought they'd take 10 points from 12!

Man I hope they can continue this run, so ******g epic.

Why should anyone care about that?

They might never get this kind of chance again. They should go all out and get at least a solid backup for both Vardy and mahrez which also helps with depth
I can only name 3 Leicester players, but it seems like they should go for a massive upgrade to their weakest starting spot instead of depth/backups. If Vardy or Mahrez gets injured they're done anyway. Just bet everything on them holding up for another 5 months.

I think big upgrades with immediate impact are unrealistic in January though plus convincing player to care about Leicester over others whereas good chance of getting depth players with less/ no improvement on player quality but help keep it running. Also need club to gamble.

That's crazy, imagine you had a decent chunk on at 1000/1 some real sweats there. Skybet had Leicester at 151.0 just two weeks ago. I wanted £100 on it but was only allowed £1 boo. Had to settle for £200 @ 21.0 last week (32red). I don't think the 14.0 available now (at 10bet) is bad either, I would take that if I didnt have them already. Preseason I backed Arse @ 6.50.

But really, Leicester ought to be looking to roll the dice and build the squad right now to maximise this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Champions League football.
Nobody's going anywhere in Jan (imo), they have a real chance to do something special here. It will be interesting to see if they buy anyone though that's for sure. I can see them cashing in next summer.

On a smaller level apparently Tony Bloom is going to roll the dice big time at Brighton in January and make some buys to go for it. 33/1 no hopers they were preseason, although losing 0-3 to boro yesterday was a wake up call.

Rooting so hard for them now. They're making this the GOAT season of the Premier League.[/
Yeah it is ridiculously epic so far. Up there with Keegan meltdown vs Fergie. Kind of showing my age with that one though

+1. Let the current weak starters be backups.

Edit: But you know also don't change too much. I mean someone like Wes Morgan sure is a weaker player by name and maybe skills, but if he's in that same great form as the rest of the team, maybe there's no need to bench him.

Careful not to mix up the narrative. People seem very happy to state that the PL is better than ever and omg look at all those teams fighting with the big boys but the reality is that the level at the top has been much poorer than years before. Man United have been really bad yet they are the favorites to finish top 3 i think that says it all.

top of the Prem is exceptionally strong this season
last season's champ scarcely out of the relegation zone against these beasts

But it doesn't really say anything does it? The current ceiling of the premier league is obviously much lower than the ceiling of other leagues (Germany, Spain etc.); but the middle level is so incredibly (relatively) superior it's not even funny. Albeit, this is obviously (somehow) still contentious so.. Whatever. Take it however you like.

This is the second or third week running that everyone in this thread has been talking about Leicester selling their best players. It's not going to happen.

Their owners are minted and have already ploughed loads of cash in. They said 18 months ago that their aim was top 5 and everyone laughed (well, I did anyway). Now that they're there I would think they'll do everything possible to stay there.

Man, I hope Leicester win it. It's just be so ******g awesome.

Can't see us winning it.

Pep can't like the Bayern Munich shirt design for next season too much.

Dear Pep,

Remember that tuss Mourinho?

Imagine how much he would hate it if you went to his old club that he made all sort of symbolic statements about but where he suffered his most embarrassing failure, and you built a ten year legacy of league and CL domination.

You would own his soul.

What more motivation do you need?

talk is cheap. i remember the venkys woman talking about champions league football after they sacked the fattest of sams, and she's got a fair few bob too. then they sold everyone and got relegated.

venkys are the most extreme example but i think there are quite a few examples of wealthy owners making loads of promises they didnt keep, or ever intend to keep.

marty im sure has a compendium and anthology of the crimes committed by the various charlatans associated with rangers.

need to see it to believe it
