We somehow still manage to stay top 4.

So lucky that it's lol spuds and plop chasing us. Hopefully Everton can put together a run.

Moyes was on Super Sunday, said the jury's still out on Ozil.

No wonder he keeps getting sacked.

Özil only been a pro for a decade, been at Real Madrid and won a WC

Or does he mean PREMIER LEAGUE PROVEN?

Man, that is excellent news.

Coral are still offering 7/2 on it. Might stick money on it.

I'll be extremely gutted if it turns out he stays though!

I should add I've not been told that, just trawling Twitter and Dutch media seems to be reporting it.
12-13-2015 , 06:27 PM
Ah okay, i'll just leave it then. You had my hopes up there!
12-13-2015 , 06:42 PM
It's twitter made up BS unfortunately

lol

like we'd be any better off with Giggs right now

If he leaves by mutual consent, fair enough, but if their letting him go without having anyone else lined up then that's the dumbest **** I've ever heard

and LOL kingweed for rooting on other teams against us

can't wait for the doom-and-gloom united fan gimmick to cease being popular jfc

I never wanted him out. I think he's done a decent job of shoring us up from what could have been a massive shipwreck after Fergie left. We should take the next step next summer if an upgrade is available but overreaction from entitled united fans that can't see anything because nostalgia of the Fergie-era is blocking their view seems to be the flavor of the month.

He isn't and never was a long-term solution, let the man do his interim role and keep us in the mix until we get someone that can be a long term solution. Sacking him/letting him go now is just short-sighted and stupid (assuming we don't have a top manager ready or in talks).

Obviously if **** hits the fan and we're in serious danger of losing out on CL qualification I guess it doesn't really matter who's the manager until the end of the season so we might as well let him go in late January/early February if this is indeed the case. In any case, the expectation level coupled with a squad that isn't capable of meeting it probably makes it unlikely that any smart manager would ever want to step in right now if, in fact, their letting him go.

?

I'm not rooting for other teams, Spurs win yesterday this whole we are getting results thing is no longer an instant response for him, despite us running like the sun in order to get them results.

The form of the last 5 games, could easily go onto the next 5-10 and really could have happened a couple of times this season.

Watford was the last game we won, lucky to win it if you're honest.

Sorry if I'm just misunderstanding this. But I felt like you were implying that you were so disgusted with us that since spuds and plop are ****ting the bed you are hoping that Everton can make a run to surpass us? Again, sorry if I'm misunderstanding.

And yeah we probably will struggle in the next few games, we're riddled with key injuries that is basically making the only system that was keeping us above water (shot-limiting and solid defense) break down.

Look, I just don't think that any manager can come in right now and miraculously make us start playing better football/create more chances AND keep us from conceding more than we are capable of consistently overcoming. We have a lame attacking unit, we might be able to create more chances by opening up and committing more players forward but we don't have the individual quality behind midfield to cover for the amount of open field runs the other teams will subsequently get.

The main difference in our opinions, I guess, is that you probably believe that we have a good enough squad to compete at a high level but LvG is holding us back, while I believe that we don't, in general, have a good enough squad to compete at a high level and LvG has made an unpopular and boring, but effective decision to minimize variance and give us the highest EV for points gathered.

Of course the fact that we don't have a good enough squad is obviously an indictment in itself when we have had 3 transfer windows (5 if we count Moyes-era) to address this. But in any case that can't really be saved from now and until the end of the season.

So I'm not allowed to bet on Everton top 6?

I have saints > Everton but Everton > Plop or Spuds

Regarding our squad, I don't think we are good enough to compete at the highest level. It's more down to this entire play it safe system and go out with a mentality of not losing the game. He had one of the best attacking players in the world in the squad last season - okay he didn't settle but he didn't allow him to play to his strengths. Memphis is dropped, lost confidence etc after shooting too much lol

Which top players would honestly want to play under LvG with his systems? Players talk. When we were in for Pedro there was public criticism for him, imagine what the players would say about him in private!

Go out and try win the game. If we can turn these 0-0 borefest into a couple of wins, yeh you may lose a few, ship more goals but does it really matter when this are this bad? We're better off and would have more points and still be in the CL.
