tactically he obviously knows what he's doing (at least when he's on the outside looking in)

However I don't agree he's nailed on to be elite. How good you are at making objective judgements under immense pressure and the social skills needed to direct ego's and personalities are a big part of being an "elite" manager and we have no evidence at all of how capable he is in those departments.

That and managing the players training regime. Knowing football tactics its only one part of the job. Im not writing him off but some people are getting way too excited based on some good commentaries on TV.

It's not just knowing how to read and analyse the game, but the ability to articulate thoughts and direct people, all of which Neville appears to have in spades. I'm no doubt over-stating his potential, but he seems better equipped than most ex-players from the (admittedly limited) evidence.

Btw I have a tip to pass on for a horse called Penn Lane in the 1:20 at Southwell. Source is a friend who works in the betting industry; he tells me there were some shrewd inquiries about it prior to its recent impressive win and it may be a lot better than today's opposition. It's currently 3.1 on betfair.

How much of Neville's output on MNF do you think is his tactical knowledge, and how much is it a group of nerdlingers that do it for him?

4/6 BTTS in our game at 12 looks long, we've not failed to score at home in a long time and cannot defend to save our lives. Combo it with an away win if you like

Does it matter? If you have the right nerdlingers to work for you and you can communicate the results they came up with well enough you are in business...a bit of rungood and you pretty much made it

We should be hammering Villa with or without Özil. Not bad timing for a rest.
