I'm not worried.

It sounds like you think he could be the next Erik Lamela.

so wondering aloud really, like is it a line familial support or like aspirational ghw stuff where the glory is making black ink instead of marvelous football and maybe winning stuff, you're just a strange fruit to me

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes his comments suggesting Daniel Sturridge must learn "what is serious pain and what is only pain" were lost in translation.

The German coach was speaking after Sturridge had suffered another setback just as he seemed ready to make his first appearance under Klopp after a knee injury.

The 26-year-old complained of discomfort in his foot and missed the Europa League tie against Bordeaux but was fit to come off the bench in the victory over Swansea City on Sunday after a scan.

"Maybe it was my fault again, because of the language," Klopp told reporters.

"I thought I said 'we all have to learn' but I couldn't read that anywhere - it was only 'Daniel Sturridge has to learn about what is pain and serious pain'.

"But, again, we all have to learn that, not just Daniel Sturridge. With his injury history, it is not easy of course.

"Say if you have 20 injuries, you cannot be treated like a player who has his first one. All of us are under the influence of the experiences that we’ve had.

"Somebody who has had more injuries is more in doubt about the things that happen [such as Sturridge's foot problem], that's clear."
so that's cleared that up

Think he's talking about centralization of pain. CNS becoming more sensitive to pain and pain triggers. Since one big sciatic nerve innervates pretty much the entire lower body, the more injuries you have the stronger the common pain pathways can become and your motor patterns get aberrant which can then lead to further injuries and the vicious cycle continues.
