I don't think the Dalton films were strong, but he is a very underrated Bond. Probably on par with Craig. Roger Moore's Bond was fine for it's time, but it's surprising how much Pierce Brosnan's films have dated, as they all seemed great when they came out.

As far as the list goes, I'd have TMWTGG higher, mainly due to Christopher Lee's GOAT villain Scaramanger. OHMSS definitely top 3. Not sure how Casino Royale can be so polarized against QoS, there isn't that much difference between them. Moonraker obviously WOAT.

I liked the Roger Moore ones best, as they were obviously tongue in cheek and made little to no attempt to present such absurd storylines as realism.

Always always hated the Brosnan Bond, but similarly thought Dalton was underrated.

I think that is the key to a good James Bond movie. Casino Royal and a couple of Skyfall action scenes reminded me of that, but the other 2 of the daneil craig ones were just plain bad. Although I don't hate him as Bond

Yea Brosnan clearly with the weakest Bond catalogue overall. I grew up watching Moore so nostalgia probably overrates him to me.

I think it's the best way for him this season. He had no practice at all.

Nah, I used to be all for it after watching The Wire and Luther but I've gone right off him after seeing him in a few movies.


Christian Bale would be my number 1 pick. He'd take Bond to a whole new level.

Fassbender would be my shout for Bond. lol at Idris Elba.

Yeh the sound quality on bose really isn't that great - I don't know how they got a reputation as having great sound quality. I've found that their lack of sound quality when traveling is more than made up for with their phenomenal sound cancelling. The drone of the engine is the nut low, no point having great sound quality if that's all you hear!

There is no point spending hundreds of pounds on a audio stuff when you physically cannot benefit from it.

Do yourself a favour and try getting started on Luther again. It's not the GOAT, but thoroughly enjoyable TV. New season coming out soon.

And I still think Elba would make a great Bond. He's mailed it in, in a few, but that's wallet padding films, methinks.

Also agree wrt Bose, but would probably recommend ATH-ANC9's over QC's to anyone that wasn't already invested in this or that. At least for my taste that works better. I mostly fly trans-Atlantic these days and fortunately, I've gotten really good at sleeping so I don't get much use out of the headphones for that anymore.

I'll put it on the iPad, I'm going to Australia in a few days so that'll occupy me for a few hours - hopefully. I'm struggling to find stuff to watch. Ended up getting masters of sex (seriously) and mom (chuck Lorre) but have already watched a few eps if that!

Taken a lot of practice -- and some cheating. I'll usually take a couple of Benadryl about 30 minutes before takeoff and then just settle in to sleep more or less immediately.
But being in Economy+ or better really helps, just because there's fewer people , less noise and more incline. I usually fly redeye so not sleeping isn't an option and I'd go prescription sleep meds if I had to.

Tom Hardy the best pick for next Bond.

Brosnan is a weird one in hindsight. The franchise was on it's ass after the 80's efforts, and he did manage to update it and put it back to the top of the box office, so deserves some credit for that.

Thinking about it, those films did have the WOAT Bond girls. Terri Hatcher and Denise Richards were particularly bad. Plus, too many hapless villains (Robbie Coltraine, Famke Jansen, Goldie).

Plus, WOAT theme songs.

Watched "Legend" a couple weeks back...it is utter ****e. Also I can't really picture Tom Hardy spitting funny one liner comebacks Bond style...maybe mumbling them
