I enjoyed Die Another Day, though mostly for its absurdity

Yeah, I thought pretty awful, although when looked at in the cold light of day that's about par for most Bond films. At least the old ones never took themselves too seriously. I think the worst part is that 3 of the 4 villains in the Daniel Craig versions have been Mads Mikkelsen, Javier Bardem, and Christoph Waltz, obviously all amazing actors, but their characters have just been awful.

1. Casino Royale
2. Goldfinger
3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
4. From Russia with Love
5. Dr. No
6. The Spy Who Loved Me
7. Skyfall
8. Thunderball
9. You Only Live Twice
10. Live and Let Die
11. GoldenEye
12. The Living Daylights
13. Diamonds Are Forever
14. Licence to Kill
15. The Man with the Golden Gun
16. For Your Eyes Only
17. Octopussy
18. Tomorrow Never Dies
19. Moonraker
20. A View to a Kill
21. Quantum of Solace
22. The World Is Not Enough
23. Die Another Day
This is a list from the Times. It's pretty close to what I would put together although I still haven't seen quantum. I'd probably slide Spectre in after Octopussy.

That list must be upside down, otherwise huge LOL @ 1. Casino Royale. WOAT Bond movie OAT.
11-26-2015 , 12:01 PM
Yeah, everyone bummed skyfall when it came out but I've seen it a few times since then and it's got worse with every watch. Moonraker is obviously the undisputed worst and I may put You Only Live Twice a little higher.
11-26-2015 , 12:01 PM
You know it's the Daniel Craig one and not David Niven?

I'm amazed at this, it's a fantastic movie imo.

Try turning your subjectivity off and then on again, it seems to have crashed.

I would dispute heavily Moonraker as worst.

Spectre and Quantum of Solace are joint woat. This bond girl is so forgettable I already forgot there was a bond girl in it
Spoiler:
also I wonder if C.Waltz would go out.of his way to make Bond's life miserable if the latter became say an accountant
11-26-2015 , 12:13 PM
The worst part of Spectre is that it returned to all the cheesy tropes of the old Bonds, squandering the brilliant reimaginings that happened in Casino Royal, but with none of the charm and wit.

I mean Octopussy is terrible in many ways, but its also hilarious, camp and OTT.
11-26-2015 , 12:21 PM
Ranking of Bond girls prolly more important.
1. Barbara Bach
2. Ursala Andress
3. Luciana Paluzzi
4. Daniela Bianchi
5. Halle Berry

imo.
11-26-2015 , 12:30 PM
Eva Green was a solid Bond girl, IMO, as was Rosamund Pike in that atrocity of a flick.

But Daniela Bianchi and probably Britt Ekland for me.

I think Garibaldi hates her, lol

10 year old me liked her tho

I think Casino Royale is rated highly because it was the first Bond that went away from that over the top Brosnan stuff (womanizing, a thousand gadgets, 5 minute fights where his suit doesn't suffer) back to the "original". Obviously poker players won't like it as much as the general population since the poker scenes were awful.
11-26-2015 , 12:45 PM
Yea wish they'd just stuck with baccarat. I don't know the game but still enjoyed the scenes from the Connery movies.
