Fantastic win today, everyone played their socks off. Dembele was a highlight for me.

Bring on Chelsea!!!!!

Also, incoming brag... currently sitting 2nd in the FF league! I've been mid table every season in this league, but am somehow doing alright this year! I was actually mid table only a month ago, but have had a storming last few weeks!

aoF must be made.

We are now 4/1 (5.00) to win the league. While arsenal have drifted to 9/4 (3.25).

Think we can class this as a good weekend guys

Spuds v Plop is legit evens now as well!

Wouldn't mind some action on that for a sweat. $50, i'll take either side. First to quote get it!

this season is the GOAT. everybody thinks they are in with a shout for the league or at least top 4. except the team that was the favorite.

leicester top of the table with one of the leakiest defenses imaginable is just incredible. so much entertainment value there.

it seems like this is the best team we've had in ages. maybe it is too early to say, but it seems better than our CL qualifying team and are bale/modric/vdv team that had the top end quality but was spotty at best in other areas. we have a top gk and if there is a better one around it is by a gnat's ass. we have a good CB pairing with chemistry. our fullbacks are playing pretty well (even walker is trying to turn it around). dier/alli/dembele in CM are all revelations. eriksen/son/lamela are great AM options (particularly the first two) and we have some alternative available in chadli/n'jie/townsend. if we had a real backup striker we'd be pretty complete. it will also be interesting to see what happens when verts/toby miss some games. dier was the obvious third option but now it seems silly to move him out of midfield. fazio is crap and wimmer is not tested.

I'd like to back those favourites to finish top 4.

Anyone wanna offer odds? I'll have $50 on it.

hence the 2.30ish odds for Chelsea to retain the league...

Are you trying to suggest that the model current projections is more accurate than the current bookies line?
11-22-2015 , 09:19 PM
I tried to construct a humorous post... I'm afraid I lack the mathematical knowledge to say which is superior and by no means do I intend to "put my money where my mouth is" and back every team the model thinks is going to finish in the top 4

I'm not sure it's quite at that level yet, but it's not far off. It's certainly a more compact unit where everyone knows their job and if players have off days it's not so noticeable. I guess the main difference between the two teams is you could have picked any one of 5-6 players for MoM yesterday, and next week it might be a completely different 5-6.

Alli looks like he needs a week off - nothing came off for him yesterday and he got visibly frustrated. Hopefully we just drop Lamela into the 10, although I can also see the case for Mason

The Chelsea game is huge. If we win, we are 13 points clear, and Plop and the other contenders will also pull further ahead. Their season is definitely over if they lose as they will have to gain more than a point per game for the rest of the season on all the teams ahead of them to qualify for the CL.

There will be 24 games left with a 13 points lead. That's more than enough to haul back providing they can go on a run. All the contenders need to play each so some one will drop points plus play Chelsea so even if they do lose its far from over!
11-23-2015 , 06:01 AM
Chelsea "going on a run" seems like a purely hypothetical proposition at this point
11-23-2015 , 06:40 AM
I dunno, Hazard looks like he's coming back into form the last couple of games, especially on Saturday. If he starts firing again - like better than Ronaldo firing - the entire club will get a boost and they'll all start playing well and they'll quickly start winning games again.
