Bump. Only 2 PMs received so far, so I guess this doesn't go ahead unless there's a late surge of interest!

How It Works
- Regular participants in this thread are allocated a single poster each. They must send a personalised Christmas gift to this poster, to arrive before Dec 25th 2015.
- There will be a Gift Unwrapping Thread in December in which we all reveal what we received.
- The "Secret" element will be respected unless the sender wishes to reveal themselves. In other words, if you want your recipient to know who sent them their gift, feel free to tell them after they've opened it. I won't be telling anyone anything.
- The pairings will be done entirely randomly. I promise not to interfere with the initial process, despite the temptation to pair certain posters with each other for comedy value. That being said, if you want to swap recipients with someone else, I will do my best to facilitate this in private.

How to Enter
- Open to any regular or semi regular posters from this thread or last year's EPL thread.
- If you're unsure as to whether you qualify, consider the following question: "Would a regular poster itt be capable of thinking of an amusing troll gift for me based on my posting history?"
- If you want in, the first step is to PM me your name and address. If you have a more interesting life than me, and may move between cities / countries, just include the address you'd like your gift to be posted to in mid December.

Gift Rules / Guidelines
- Suggested gift value is around £20 ($30 in American money). If you want to spend more than that, go right ahead but don't expect it to be reciprocated. If you spend less than that, it had better be funny.
- Troll gifts are not only allowed, but actively encouraged. But there's also a lot to be said for just sending something the recipient would actually appreciate and enjoy!
- If you don't know much about your allocated poster, you should either research their posting history or PM someone else who might know them better. Generic gifts can work in certain spots, but they don't make great thread material. Your primary aim here is to make the recipient smile, even if it's through gritted teeth.
- If you have an especially perfect gift idea for another poster, but you weren't allocated them, feel free to PM your idea to me and I will pass it on to the relevant Santa. Likewise if you live in an obscure part of the world and are willing to help with postage / gift sourcing for local posters, just let me know and I'll put you in contact with someone who would welcome your help. Community involvement is encouraged!

Like I say, step one is for anyone who wants in to PM me their info. I will post a list of confirmed participants around Nov 20, though I haven't set a specific deadline yet. Have at it!

I got kind of drunk for the FT which was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. Made it so much more fun.

Between me and my 7 friends who made the 5 hour drive we took $150k back home. Rungooooooooood.

there is nothing else in regina, so that was the only purpose. I've done the 8 hours to Minneapolis a few times for nfl/nba/other fun non poker stuff
11-16-2015 , 04:41 PM

Depending on the timing of flights and whatnot, it may actually have been easier for AO to drive from Winnipeg to Regina.

It's basically a 3 1/2 hr drive for me to Detroit and 6-6 1/2 hrs to Minneapolis and is rather do that then deal with all of the BS that is going through a 'murican airport.

I've brought this up the last international break, but now it is confirmed. I'm going to Dublin with a couple of friends from 27-29 of November. What are your suggestions regarding pubs(we want to watch at least 1 EPL game in a good pub), must see places (maybe even a couple of hours of drive from Dublin as we plan to rent a car) and if any of you are down we can grab a pint one of those dates! Thanks in advance!

Sucks Ukraine vs Slovenia is on at the same time as the Sweden vs Denmark game, but oh well.

Confirmed obvious scam by sweep organiser.

First and foremost stay out of temple bar. I know lots of good pubs in the city centre but some would be more suitable for football viewing than others. Is it mainly just tv setups with decent drink that you are looking for? Lmk.

There is a big race meeting at Fairyhouse that weekend if that's up your alley, usually a good way to spend an afternoon.

+1 to staying away from temple bar.

Most of the country is just a couple hours drive from Dublin so you won't be short of options - if you're looking for places rather than outright attractions then Galway and Belfast are both great cities.

If you like rugby two Irish provinces are playing each other on the 27th in Dublin.
