In a 2-team league with the occasional outsider champion like La Liga, if I want to bet that Barcelona will win it 10 years in a row, what would be a fair odd? Suppose it's June 2015 btw.
The bet is actually about the portuguese league, but it's pretty much the same thing.
about 150/1 if they have 60% equity every year for 10 years. (0.6 power 10)

you have no desire to win money? i know you can't be wagering that much in soccer dfs simply because high stakes doesn't run. i would imagine 1k would be enough incentive to do a few hours more work.

Guys I don't remember if talked about the Löic Remy incident vs Stoke.
Remy is through on goal, could go down for the red+pen, but tries to go on and score.

Hughes after the game.
Quote:
Credit to him [Remy] for that. Time and time again you see players look to take a tumble. He could have been more cynical but he tried to score
Shearer
Quote:
He's impeded him. There's no contact, but Remy doesn't have to jump over him. He jumps over him because otherwise he's getting brought down. Absolute certain penalty.
Ian Wright

We're getting into murky water if we start penalising the goalkeeper for not touching people

so LOL REMY for not going down and getting a pen+red or props to him for going on and try to score?

With today's rules I'm leaning towards the 1st one, because it gets a pen+red and they had a couple of minutes to go still to get the win. What do you guys think?

American beer is fine. Some really good brews coming out of smaller breweries.
Having said that, I think you can probably find good beer from any country and the UK has some damned fine porters for instance.

I think Shearer's right - the reason Remy is off balance and misses is because he's hurdled the keeper.

Going by the information we have today, I wonder what would be a good average per-year estimate that Bayern wins the league over the next 10 years. 70-75%?

It's stupid not to go down there or anytime that happens. Refs will wrongly just play on because they have no balls to make a decision in the box and players shouldn't get any credit for staying on their feet.

Can't say I'm too surprised lfcyank thinks craftbeering is exclusive to USA#1. That being said, I've had some unbelievably good US craftbeers. But then again, I've had some unbelievably good danish, swedish and norwegian craftbeers as well.

I thought it would be much higher, something like 300:1. I know nothing about it as well.
I hope you are correct thou because it would mean that I wasn't ripped off that much

Edit: for reference, the bet was made in May 2013 that Benfica would win in Portugal 10 year in a row. I was just being cocky about it and a drunk friend wanted to bet. I didn't want to take advantage of a drunk guy so I bet at 50:1. It was just for fun, but I guess I should have demanded for a better price.

Take Messi out and you're looking at probably close or > 1000/1

Shearer is right - should have been a penalty
Mourinho is right - Chelsea don't get penalties
Lineker is right - Remy musn't be the penalty taker

Ian Wright is wrong like alot of stuff hes wrong about

Pretty much this. Such an idiotic decision for Remy to stay on his feet. Easy penalty and you earn your team a point.

if you go 0-4 you win $80

Basically the lowest EV will be the guys with 2 favourites and 2 dogs

If he had managed to scoop the ball in somehow, he would have been praised further for his efforts. Glad he missed and team lost.
