Actually, should probably wait til just before the season since United have at least 1 big signing in them while Arsenal are most likely done. That should shift the odds

Good to see the bets piling on, has someone opened a betting thread for this season?

Only just realised that super Jeff was brought and not a real arse youth teamer, anyone know where gnabry is?
07-27-2015 , 03:31 AM
Gnabry played u-21 euros with Germany and just came back to the club i think.

Yeah I'm in for this too. As I said last year, I think picking certain positions (like winner, t4, relegation) should be worth more than others, but would do it any way.

re DFS, i know stars are planning to rollout for this nfl season, not sure if they will have other sports as well

Arsenal>ManU is a bet I'm interested in as well. 100$ anyone?

Also Wolfsburg to win the "Bayernless Bundesliga" I know kw told me already, but I'd like to know the vig free odds and if anyone is interested in laying that. 100$ again

Not sure I'd want to be backing Wolfsburg with City sniffing around De Bruyne.
07-27-2015 , 05:28 AM
93suited told me he wasn't leaving so I believe him

Can't think of a single reason why he wouldn't want to come back, get a nice salary increase from City and try to prove MourinAIDS wrong.

There is a problem with coming back to one of the OilClubs.
The probability of getting benched and fighting for your spot (with 5 other very capable players) is too high.
He's got a good thing going for him in germany. Going to an elite club next summer as the "Bonkers Superstar" is very plausible and has higher ceiling for his (summer 2016) ability -> reputation -> salary.

I agree w Zolzayn...feels weird to type

Doubt wolfsburg would turn down 75mill+ tho (which was reported for the City transfer)
07-27-2015 , 08:49 AM
No way Wolfsburg turn down that much, and no way he turns down the £200k p/w he'd be offered, regardless of how much playing time he'd get.

I think he would be a great get for City even if arguably not their greatest need if Sterling turns out how I'd expect.

Overall the directors there and coach need to be on the same page for once when it comes to transfers. Both parts had great reputations pre-City and a big part of getting Pellegrini was improving manager/director working relationships from ever confrontational Mancini, yet some investments, and most of them at the time the most highly rated/valued on the market (whether finished product or raw diamond), haven't been great fits with what Pellegrini was either doing or trusting.

Maybe the ex-Barca directors aren't really geniuses and/or their read on Pellegrini was lacking.

In Pellegrini's usual 4222 to get the best out of De Bruyne he would pretty much have to occupy Silva's spots so if that still wouldn't change it could indeed turn out to be another bad read from directors and manager.

The completely obvious "fix" is once again 4231 where there should be more than enough room for Silva and De Bruyne but of course the central midfield pairing still has issues with the most defensive midfielder (Fernando Reges) basically needing different midfield make-up (triangles) to pass the ball with any decency worthy of a top club but where the other midfielders aren't responsible enough tactically and defensively. Especially Toure unless he seriously rebounds in a non ACON season, then him and (but) definitely best utilized in an all-round role Fernandinho can still be a quality duo but one with realistically too many loopholes to prevent falling short either a few too many times during a league fight or against the best teams in the CL.

don't think silva and de bruyne in the same team makes a lot of sense
think they would be much better off bringing in an elite CM and possibly another striker better than bony because as it is they are completely relying on yaya/aguero to stay fit

I'll play this year. Will pm later.

I will sign up to IKTS in the next couple of days, the prospect of owning mc1's soul is too good to refuse.

I think changing the team's formation according to what players you got is a decision better left for the poor teams.
With how much money City's willing to spend they should not play with inferior tactics (according to what the staff believes in).
With that said, modern football is much more flexible formation wise. You need players to stretch their roles to several other positions and styles.
In case city wants to spend for a non-flexible player (if they're willing to play De Bruyne only in 4231 or 4321) 75M (which wolfsburg will snap call) seems like too much.

I'm def in for IKTS, and I'm also paying Fatal Checkraise's entry.

Speaking of comps, we could use more players in the 1X2. $50 for the full season, with manager of the month prizes!
07-27-2015 , 11:31 AM
Speaking of more comps, I am of course running last man standing, €10 (or $ equivalent) to matt20 on stars to play, usually has around 80 runners. Pm for PayPal or bank transfer info.
