not loads. they really, really miss silva in these games. Yaya was absent and they created nothing through the middle.

KdB miss kick, Sterling fluffed up at least 2 or 3 chances as well.

They had two great chances late and smashed the bar right at the death as well.

so happy I didn't banker city

City have two headers that need to be goals, tbh.

all from crosses tho. all they did was spam crosses from kolarov and navas into sterling/de bruyne. they got a few good chances, but against a better team they would have lost today.

City obv should have won, but their gameplan kind of really sucked.

What difference does that make? Do cross not count as chances like?

Do we rule out goals that aren't from crosses?

Also the the kdb was from navas ripping the boy and squaring it, wouldn't exactly call it a cross.

lol at that edit, so you agree they should have won and did actually get good chances.

ah alright then, I think it's time to renew de bruy**** and ster**** give them 85 milion more

id rather watch ice road truckers than this pathetic excuse for a team

Villa deserved winning because of Gestede's throw-in, iyam, though.
11-08-2015 , 11:44 AM
KW, has the LvG era been this bad on your thinking or do you disagree that spamming crosses to KdB and Sterling is the best way to play when you are a team whose two best offensive options on the field are KdB and Sterling?

Like, yes two of those crosses hit a player and they got a good chance. They "deserved" to win because these they ended up with some good chances, but for Villa being parked for 80 minutes it wasn't anywhere near enough. There is a reason when City win titles/are at their best....it's Silva putting through balls and top chances for players, not putting 20 crosses into Sterling to head.

Missing Silva meaning they relied more on their wide players - as in crossing from both sides. They created quite a few chances this way. They ran pretty horrible today. Should have won by a couple of goals.

So often in these type of games is when Yaya ends up pushing up more and he grabs hold of the game and wins it by himself. Would have really liked to see more Yaya interplay with the other front players rather than crosses if I was a City fan. They obviously ran bad, but they'll have to play better to beat 80% of the teams in this league.

why hasnt mourinho been sacked yet
11-08-2015 , 11:49 AM
Wow, city aren't at their fluent best missing their two best players.

The things you learn.

Villa did the standard pack the middles routine and force them to beat you from wide areas. Just look at the space they were given in the wide areas. I'm sure city would have loved to have played more through the middle but given how Villa set up that would have been a pretty bad strategy imo - they created more than enough chances. Just one of those days.
