English Football 2015-16 - Leicester City won the league English Football 2015-16 - Leicester City won the league

Back from Emirates cup, lot of buzz about rene aledade, trouble is he reminds me too much of jay Emmanuel Thomas who turned out to be a fraud.

Squad looks set for arse tho, don't see any more in or out transfer wise. Can only win the league if we run well in injuries , welbeck or theo starting over 10 league games central won't work IMO.

Have Arsenal fans been taking plop pills recently?

They're going full this year, plop fans a part from those on RAWK and pissy are quite quiet this year.

yeah I'm sure most people consider Arsenal decent dark horses for some sort of semi-legit challenge for the title this season, but all this talk of WAY BETTER SQUAD THAN CITY seems like it's setting them up for a fall.

Let's not forget, the consensus early last season was Arsenal can never challenge for a title until Wenger moves on.

Wtf? It was said itt that city has a way better squad than arsenal not the other way around. And the post above kw said we need to run supergood with injuries to win the title.

The most important actual number values for this discussion:

people trying to hype up the arseboom, but they are forgetting that we've been through 10years of seeing our best player go and buying Andre Santoses for replacement. Now we have a side that can put in a title challenge and we are in for some additions to the squad rather than losing someone to Barca-City... Sorry for being excited, truly

Andre Santos was awesome

The discussion went with Zolzyan saying that City is way better and no Arsenal players would be wanted by City because he is a very dumb human being.
I then said our squad is slightly better. That was all that really happened.

I don't really think the "if no one important gets injured we can win the league" is a controversial statement at all. That's the case for all of the top 3.

I like Uniteds squad better than City as well, but I think you're pretty reliant on Rooney right now.

*edit*

Think your seriously underestimating Citys squad.

All Arsenal fanatics got here is other Arsenal fanatics in mumbling 'this year is the year'.

Will be like that:
you'll have a good team,
you're gonna have a good run somewhere in mid season,
you'll be in some of the best games in this year..
and you're gonna finish 3rd or 4th...
LIKE EVERY ****ING YEAR!!!!!

Nothing new this year.
07-26-2015 , 05:55 PM
the fact that Everton have signed Deulofeu AND cleverley is being quietly underestimated itt
07-26-2015 , 05:56 PM
I think City are a fine team, but they will be like last year. They will largely destroy the small teams and have a very nice GD, but fall against the big boys because the other big clubs in Europe have an identity and don't play two forwards in big games.

"If we run really good with injuries we could win the league"
is not the same as
"this is our year."

If you cant see how much better this team is than the one three to five years ago, you're just trolling. We're going from dudes like Djorou and Santos starting ~30 games to Ozil and Sanchez.

"if no one important gets injured we can win the league" is a controversial statement because, uh, injuries happen, to everyone
especially Arsenal!

and if someone says something obv idiotic like "no Arsenal players would be wanted by City" itt then we probably don't need to respond

And finish 2nd

AO - City, I think we can all agree had a pretty poor season last year. They still finished 2nd, had the best GD and also scored the most goals.

Okay, they had a 'bad record' last year against fellow top 4 teams, it wasn't as if they where destroyed in them. They've signed Sterling - who i personally won't make that much of a difference in the big games but he'll be great against the other teams.

The problem is that Sterling is the only player they have signed recently except Mangala where you expect them to get better and become class for City. Jovetic had a chance as well, but he's been sold already after failing. Sterling is the only player with the chance to "break out" or improve on them from two years ago. Nearly everyone had a healthy, peak production season when City won the title. Yes, if they get that again they're a good shout. But that's tough. The second Aguero or Yaya goes down, they look lost.

Chelsea, Arsenal and now United have brought class players as well as younger players who have gotten better each year and brought Chelsea/Arsenal trophies recently.

For City to win, their top ~3 players have to have elite statistical years, staying healthy. Aguero, Yaya and Silva are all top 10 players in this league, but Yaya is 32 and played about as much defense last year as James Harden.
07-26-2015 , 06:20 PM
Yaya don't need to defend and who the **** is James Harden?
