Zaids, you just don't want to fall too far behind two teams. As you brought up the Arsenal example, it is easy to see one of Spurs or Pool collapsing. But if you give both of them a double digit lead...I don't see it.

Am I the only one that doesn't rate Neville and Carragher's analysis? They still look at isolated mistakes from a players' perspective rather than in the overall tactical and match flow framework. The fact they're lauded so highly is more a reflection on how bad the rest are then their quality.

Former defenders shouldn't be allowed to talk about football

I like them. Let the stoning commence

Expecting Derby to win comfortably over QPR today. We are in a Mourinho level bus parking formation today:

-5 defenders
-3 defensive midfielders*
-Matty Phillips and Charlie Austin

*I hesitate to call someone with Karl Henry's passing ability a midfielder, but he stands in the middle of the pitch.

Almost certainly. As HH said, we have a really nice blend in MF right now, but if you're going to bet on any 19yo making it, bet on Alli as he appears to have no weaknesses in his game.

Spurs have been solid, and in some games unspectacular, but I don't see a collapse unless Kane gets injured before xmas, although I think Son can definitely play striker in our system. Last season, we had a mini-collapse after beating Arsenal where we didn't win for a month including the EL exit and League cup final defeat, but recovered well to finish 5th.

I disagree, when doing analysis for Klopp they showed plenty of his overall tactical approach and have done the same for Poch/LVG etc. Obviously individual mistakes will appear as well but it's just wrong to say they look at isolated incidents and ignore the rest.

Don't think you need to worry just yet ZAIDS, I doubt United score another goal this season, unless we sign OG again.

I don't think you watch them as regularly as most of us do then because they do go in depth on things when they get time to do it. Mainly on MNF. The piece they did on United's failings at the Emirates the other week was pretty good. Neville is a lot better at it that Carragher but they compliement each other well. Even Lampard last night fitted in well.

Sometimes I think we fear giving pundits credit because giving them **** is the norm.

GRAY!

Better than Danny Ings.

Gray just cannot stop scoring!

This rooting for English teams in the champions league is kinda weird. I saw the score of the United game and was meh and then I realized I had to be happy.

Juve drew as well

It's really good for Liverpool that Utd won tonight for a number of reasons 1) a deep run in Europe will hinder their epl performance 2) winning with Rooney still in the team further delays LVG dropping him.

Good win for the Clarets tonight against an in-form Fulham side, who were also the league's top scorers.

Although I was apprehensive when we signed him, Andre Gray is looking to be a fantastic bit of business.

Top three in the Championship level on points with Boro and Derby just one behind. Can't see the promotion contenders coming from outside these five.

It's getting pretty clear that LvG drops Rooney ~never. Will have to wait for the next manager. Unless it's Giggs, then he gets dropped when either a) he ****s Giggsy's granny or b) he retires.

Spurs would be very dangerous if they played once a week. More so than utd or pool.

Sooner they give up on Europe the better for them. Playing kane 2/3 times a week is destined for failure.
