I'm wondering, who plays up top if Kane is injured?

Grzegorz Rasiak

It would be great viewing if Lampard became a full time pundit for sky.

We'll just full Poch Guardiola and play a 4-6-0

dumb question since KANE is a football cyborg

Weve also had a harder start in terms of fixtures. Regardless, in not sweating on finishing top 4 this season. I am extremely confident that we are going to have lots of success over the coming years with klopp.

Is Dele Alli going to keep his starts when Bentaleb and Mason are both fit again?

Why is der markt higher on Liverpool than Tottenham? I havent seen either of them much, but Liverpool are 3 points behind and have been playing worse afaict. Has teh Klopptimism actually moved markets or has it been like this all season?
Klopp, obviously

We've also already played Spurs, Utd, Arse, Stoke, Everton, Chelsea away and will be playing City away after the next international break. Those are the toughest away games out of the way in the first half of the season while Tott have only played Utd away.

Was pool > spurs pre season top 4 market?

Really unsure when I need to be worried about top 4.

Looking at our realistic opponents - 6 behind klopp, 9 behind spuds, 10 behind sideways, 11 behind the tinkerman - 81 points still in play.

And remember arse being 13 points off spuds end of February 2012 after "those 37 minutes" and still managing to finish above them. Granted, arsenal were not playing at the same level as Sunderland and it was clearly variance plus that graphic from last night on sky (1st/2nd last season in a bunch of stats ---------> range 13th to 20th!!!!! in a bunch of stats this season) was mega worrying.

Now would be a good time.

think of it this way: from this point on, if you accumulate the same percentage of the points in play that you did over the whole of last season (just over 76%) then you end with 72-73 points which, I guess, might be just about enough for 4th (average points for 4th over the last 5 seasons 72.2). But there really isn't any indication whatsoever that Chelsea can somehow get to last years level anytime soon. Then again, no one expected Chelsea to be so **** all of a sudden either so easy come, easy go perhaps.

Not a very rigorous way to look at the situation but, in any case, now is definitely the time to be worried.

Disregarding everything else, Spurs have played very solid football all season and Plop will probably be at least a little bit better than they were under Rodgers so..

Yea I've looked and considered all that but if 72 points is where it's at then pool need just over 2 p/g to achieve that from this point forward and spuds 1.92 p/g.

11 games in pool don't look like a 2 p/g side. Spuds aren't even at 1.92 currently. So while chelsea are big pile of ****e as of now, there is evidence (last year) that these players are capable of hitting not just 2 p/g but much higher. There is no evidence of this at pool or spuds.

Lose Stoke, beat Norwich, lose at Spurs end of month and it's looking very very unlikely. We would need to be at 2.5 p/g or something. But I guess I can find something else to follow until the beginning of next season.

Hopefully.

I really like the balance of last night's team which is imo our strongest XI with the exception at LB (shrug). Spurs have excellent depth throughout the squad apart from ST, hopefully someone is either lined up during January or a youth player can step up... :-/

With a lot of mid-table sides picking up points from pretty much everyone, I am not sure 72 is going to be the magic number this year.

And this. Behind pool/spuds in market is correct. It's just a waiting game in terms of team improvements. Possibly waiting for something that might not happen. And then it's a mystery as to why it happened.

The instant Chelsea win 3 games on the trot they'll immediately be top 4 favorites again out of the remaining lot. It's not so much about Pool and Spurs as it is Chelsea continuing to be terrible.

I made this sheet pre-season to track my handicap bets with bandit and PBAL. It looks a little daunting, but the "EXP ADJ" column (by which the table is sorted) reflects current points per game applied for the full season with the pre-season handicap added. In other words it's a good guide as to which teams are over and under performing vs pre-season expectations, and it's no shock to see Leicester at the top and Chelsea at the bottom.

‘I’ll sit there, listen, take it all in and try to improve. I don’t take that in a negative way. When certain other people speak, maybe not, maybe I don’t listen or take it on the chin from players who haven’t had a career or have played at a really bad level and then come for me after what I’ve achieved in my career, Robbie Savage being one. He’s done it a couple of times. I’ll take it all day long from the very best but other people, no.’

Would never describe myself as a Terry fan (who would, lol?) but that's fair comment imo

Meh, he is better off either (a) ignoring it or (b) responding to the criticism itself. I have no idea what he said, but the fact that the criticism is from an irritating Welsh **** that was a mediocre and spiteful footballer isn't really relevant. Terry is the club captain at a team that is massively underperforming - if he thinks that any criticism doesn't apply because the criticism isn't from a top, top, top, top player then he's an idiot.

What he has achieved in his career isn't really relevant right now. What's relevant is that Chelsea are a bit ****.

So JT looks up to the brother of the player he racially abused? Interesting
