The way the game started was very standard for a Brent Liverpool side: flash some good things but utterly fail to produce any end-product. And as I implied at HT, I think either of those sides gets played off the pitch by a decent continental side (Leverkusen, Napoli, Sevilla, etc.)
That said, there were glimpses to be seen if you're a close observer of this LFC team. Much more coordinated trapping for example.
Klopp has only been at it for only couple days, and he was handicapped by a really bad squad today. He spoke very early on about the first steps back for a club being to (1) solidfy the defense, and (2) become a hard team to beat. Early signs of tactical progress, while producing a draw and a clean sheet, on the road, against an in-form side, should be satisfactory for LFC supporters.
