-I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised with that half: Spurs' 4th midfielders get overrun for awhile but Pool's 4th choice striker isn't clinical enough to capitalize. Then Pool's back-foot defenders struggled with Kane and Eriksen when the game opened up. Hate to say it, but much like Everton-Liverpool two weeks ago, this looks more like a fun, open mid-table clash than a battle of poised contenders. Lots of silly mistakes by both sides.

-Mignolet and Lloris both did what they've become known for: shot-stopping for Migs; sweeper-keeper'ing for Hugo.

-As we worried, Skrtel doesn't look comfortable in an advanced, proactive role. Too bad we won't be able to bed Gomez in, even if just in the cups.

-Origi is showing flashes of his pace as well as some decent hold-up play. But without a second striker or at least a MF who makes runs behind I'm not sure where the end product is going to come from. When we play with a single striker our attack cries out for the runs of Henderson.

-I'll take a draw at this point. We've shown good signs but have fatal personnel flaws on both ends.
