Also TSO handed a 50k quid fine and a one game ban for his outburst after the Soton game. The cult is alive!

Seems like pretty needless commentary from Big Sam.

Hoopie, didn't West Ham play some pretty decent stuff when Nolan/Carroll were out? Was that down to Sam or more of a happy accident?

In the first half of the season we did play some excellent stuff when Valencia (sometimes) and Sakho were in the side and Downing was playing well at the tip of the diamond. Alex Song was vital as well - he got injured, so did Sakho and Downing went off the boil.

I wouldn't blame Carroll, he played well enough when he wasn't injured (which was almost never), I wouldn't really even blame the brand of football, it was good enough for us the season before - but Nolan last season was finished. He is a midfielder that you have for his goals - without those, despite all the positive soft factors he has (superb leader, streetwise etc.) he's a negative for the team. I think last season he scored once (I have no idea how many Xg he scored), but that statistic probably tells you all you need to know.

This was part of the problem with no signings in January - our squad was paper thin, we got a couple of injuries and having to pick players that were either out of form or **** because we had no alternatives.

"I agree the performances have not been good enough but we have played over 150 games in Europe and you've picked three. Our percentage of wins is in the top five."

Wenger.

Fair play, bloke understands variance

“This kind of a price structure makes a stadium visit impossible for younger and socially disadvantaged fans. It destroys fan culture, which is the basis of football. In England, this development has already taken place.

“We want to protest at the price structure and at the same time changes in the stadia. We want to remind clubs and associations of their social responsibility and warn them of the effects, which we will all feel, both as fans and club officials. We express our support for campaigns like ‘20’s Plenty’ from England and ‘Kein Zwanni’ [No €20] in Germany. Especially the developments in English football should be a sobering example.”
god damn buyern fans are such a bunch of *****, go do something useful like protest outside VW HQ

im sure if the ticket was 20 quid cheaper then all your working class fans would be clamoring to get london hotels reserved for their midweek international sporting staycation, oh wait no they have to be on the ****ing aldi tills at 8am wednesday dont they

Brendan Rodgers has taken no time in landing a new job in football after Richard Keys revealed beIN SPORTS are set to sign the ex-Liverpool boss as a pundit.

The Reds potted Rodgers just 11 days ago but is ready to embark on a television role alongside Keys and Andy Gray in Qatar.

And, when asked if they were looking to recruit the Northern Irishman, lead anchor Keys said: ‘We will be – yes.’

and btw b4 the olds jump on me i've no problem with 20s plenty and all that malarkey, good luck to them, my problem is with this bunch of what are probably middle class buyern ghws engaging in acts that would make even our world leading resident experts on the art of self fellatio blush
10-15-2015 , 08:44 AM
yeah a real statement would be not showing up and just having a section of empty seats.

Boycotting the first 5 minutes won't make a difference to anything ..... Emirates stadium is a morgue 99% of the time anyway .... is there another fanbase that is as notorious for golf clapping and leaving 10 minutes early as Arsenal?

Does he mean top 5 in England? because Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea all have better win % in the CL, and more actual trophies, than Wenger....

20's plenty (BUT YOU BETTER KEEP 'INVESTING' MILLIONS AND MILLIONS SO WE CAN SIGN THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLAYERS)

to be fair I think I agree with that campaign as I don't think clubs should be able to price other teams fans out of the game. If your own club is ripping its own fans off then pretty much tough.

10-15-2015 , 10:01 AM
So that's Wilson, Krul, Gomez and Ings all gone with ACL injuries...really bizarre.

What horrible luck for Pool.

Gutted for Ings. Just as he was starting to break into the Liverpool and England teams. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

This won't affect the tribunal fee, will it?

Nope. Since he's already switched clubs and had his international debut, that ship's sailed already.

I keep finding it funny that the BBC is harking on about how much man united are charging for a full adult strip with shorts, socks, and name on the back. If anything, the government should include a FKW tax too.

I must remember people need roll eyes to act as a marker...
