Regardless of whether or not Klopp is effective at Liverpool it'll be fun

He's scorning the discipline and intelligence of hendo, milner and can. And saying that if they can't understand what to do then it will be very funny for onlookers. However, if those players can (he thinks it unlikely --> hence it needing to be 'magically') get to grips with the strategy of gegenpressing (or whatever) then Studge&co get to feast on the opportunities it will provide them.

I'ld love to believe this. But unfortunately the only way I can see it being fun is if he punches out Mourinho on the touchline. And, as uber-kuhl, I don't think he has the form for that.

means that the press klopp can coach up in like 7 days will prob get pozzed against ball playing mids and defenders (say, any decent side in la liga or bundasliga) but probably will be sick against pulisball and its facsmiles playing tough gritty lolbrits in lolpl

like i dont see eric dier doing too much triangle progressions via calm simple passes and positional resets or carl jenkinson offering himself as the 2nd passing option continuously out on the right, as lolbrits

good thing for my bet vs bandit obv than if lolrodgers continued
So you're saying Adam Lallana is even more useless than he currently is?

o/u of # of times steven gerrard have ever considered the defensive shape behind him when deciding whether to hollywood is 0.5 and the under pays like bayern winning bundasliga odds

Likely winners under Klopp: Firmino, Can, Sahko.
Likely losers: Sturridge, Allen, Skrtel

Also I suppose Klopp will want a new goalkeeper in the next summer.

Nobody who plays for plop can be classified as a winner

It's a shame they didn't sack Rodgers and keep Sterling if the plan was to go for Klopp.

Can we not go over this 100 times?

You didn't want to pay Sterling what he is worth (ie what he commands in the market), so he goes.

[also, an in place early this season Stuge/Ster that works means you don't get to sack Brenton]

fwiw I'm looking forward to Mourinhaids sacked - imma poast 100 taunts

Not sure yet. Ings has the energy to press a lot so it seems like he fits but I still dont know how good Benteke is.

I think Klopp would have to compromise a lot at first to get the best out of the squad, specially from Mignolet and Skrtel. I can see Gomez getting a shot to partner Sahko in a back 4 but what about the goalkeeper? Do we just leave a giant space between the defence and the goalie?

That's a decently interesting take.

You'ld have to ask TP about Ings .. I just haven't seen enough to have a judgement.

re Benteke: I'm basically sure that he's a CL quality forward in terms of his offensive play. But I don't know how good his pressing would be - though it seems hard to think that he couldn't be whipped into shape. [Reductively, I'm thinking of how much Berahino's pressing is improved by Pulis constantly shouting at him.]

[edit] re Skrtel etc: I agree that I think you can't expect an instantaneous conversion to high pressing.
Spoiler:
viz Pepe Mel again

Yeah Skrtel is probably doa. Little munchkins like Allen and Lallana are not long for this world either.

Henderson & Milner too stupid to play centrally but Milner could definitely go back to his Man City role.

I wonder if Sturridge will play centrally or wide.

I think the most uplifting thing about Klopp is that he will be a very new thing to liverpool.
The club needs a big shakeup, and the club has never had any manager close to klopp's type.

Klopp, Zorc and Watzke made transfer decisions together.

I'm still holding out hope that there is more lolplop and Klopp turns them down.

Could you imagine how good that'd be!

Going to be interesting to see if this super duper pressing style can work consistently against good teams every single week. The sheer competitiveness and pace of the league could be too much!

Come on, even if you hate Pool the PL is going to be more entertaining with Klopp in it. You guys want them to get boring Ancelotti instead?

I still think big sam is an option for the best lolplop moment ever.
