Is Rojo still injured or did he just decide to play young in LB just because?

In some ways, Jurgen, welcome home.

Hamstring but there is talk of him being transferred out.
10-04-2015 , 06:37 PM
Carragher was saying he had heard that the powers that be at Liverpool aren't overly keen on Klopp. I mean that could be total nonsense of course but just thought I'd share.
10-04-2015 , 06:48 PM
Wonder if it's anything to do with him wanting full control over the transfers.
10-04-2015 , 06:51 PM
I feel like there's amazing potential for Brendan playing the role of Hitler in that video but i'm exhausted, somebody should step up imo

Yeah ok, still don't get why we don't just play jones and put Blind at LB.

I've been pretty pro what LvG has been doing this season but his team selection today and what seemed to be his strategy coming out was just dreadful. Albeit I think any semblance of a game-plan seemed to just go out the window or hadn't even become apparent when we got the double uppercut 7 minutes in.

Yeah, remember how we all said that Navas would have his ass stapled to the bench when KdB came to town?

Eventually that will happen just cause of his age, but you saw in the 1st half that Sterling was gettting in the lane too much for Silva and kdb. Even though Sterling can play as a pure winger, he will always want to cut in, because quite frankly he's a damn good player centrally.

But with Navas he knows his role and he will always stay wide and spread the pitch for Silva & kdb and maybe that's just a better mix.

That rumour has been circulating for quite a while (that FSG have been warned off Klopp).
Most media outlets are reporting that Klopp is being chased, though.

I'm sure the 7m payoff will ease his pain

who knew more space for silva and yaya and kdb and TASF types indirectly leads to more chance creation, certainly no one itt mentioned it.

I don't really get the Rogers sacking - unless FSG have Klopp strongly lined up already.

o/w I just don't see what they are really hoping to achieve.

I don't buy the Ancelotti (or whoever) can attract a better class of player - (i) it's all down to the money and (ii) Brenton surely has the goat line for transitional players [ie those who believe themselves to be en route from clubs with a smaller budget than L'pool's to those with a larger one] ".. look what coming to Liverpool with me managing did for Luis Suarez"

I suppose what FSG want is a Wenger figure who can consistently take them to 4th in the league on 5th place money. If that's not Klopp then maybe they roll the dice for Monk/Howe/Koeman somehow?
10-04-2015 , 10:02 PM
otoh they could do worse than Pepe Mel.

just continuing the above late night ramble:

I completely concede it would be pretty reasonable for L'pool supporters to tick me off for being mystified by the Rogers sacking as I pretty obviously do focus on the managerial appointments of the club with the ~16th highest wage bill in the EPL and those nearby in that table.

But I think my first line of defence is that down there the numbers are actually quite close together. So something like Timmmyyyy's effervescence or Dick's Dutch courage/calm [or even Pulisballrungoat] can make a short term difference.
Spoiler:
Yeah, yeah, lolvariance and I've read the relegation clubs changing manager doesn't help etc article .. & don't believe it.

But what L'pool's owners presumably want is something sustained/able.

Unless, I guess, they think that making the CL one time can be a tipping point but Rogers screwed it up when they did. Which is a whole lot of Suarez-Sturridge-meh.

Rodgers was the second longest serving manager in the league, how can you be mystified by him getting sacked

Pretty sure ~most itt know its not gonna be hugely impactful for Liverpool but FSG operates in narrative world and there Rodgers was unable to build on the second place finish and instead took them backwards as opposed to binked suarez, regressed

stupid, but here we are

gmab. 90% of the posts about Navas ITT have been about sending him to the glue factory.

I don't get how anybody can feel bad for him at all. He will be just fine, he'll get a £7million pay off and spend the next few months travelling the world with his girlfriend. And when he wants to come back to work then he will be able to walk straight into a job at the top level.

He just cannot do any more damage to our team.
