No Champions League teams play on Sundays when there's European football midweek. I think that goes for pretty everywhere. You had Barca, Madrid, Atletico, Sevilla yesterday too and Valencia Friday.

Ah, that makes sense. Was this always the case though? I can't quite remember boring Sundays last season

I think it's been that way a long time, but it's worse in the first half of the season. In the second half it gets easier for England to put the big clubs on Sundays.

Unless its not in the champions league that is every Tuesday and Thursday.' Then another one chimed in with 'I'm also a huge fan and never miss a game but now Messi is injured I'm not gonna watch.'

To be fair to Crooks while watching Martial play I was thinking to myself he has the physique of a goalkeeper.

Not sure how well Williams, Reid and Ivanovic would do in attacking roles though.
