My question had nothing to do with Kane tho.

Also Hazard + Falcao monthly wage = Kane's yearly wage.

Falcao is done but lol at hazard 'regressing'. Guy is going to destroy europe over the next decade when he leaves Chelsea.

Nobody is looking good for Chelsea. The defense is horrible, cesc, hazard, even matic doesn't look to be at his usual standard and Costa has been kinda bad in some ways (but still elite at getting opponents to spaz). At this point I really don't see any point in pointing the finger at individuals as it looks to be a collective problem. Take a guy like Hazard he's obviously dependent on other players to look like his self so it's not really much about Hazard or Cesc regressing but I'm rather interested in finding out what the problem is. I guess this is where I have to consider the narratives advocating intangibles such as mental fatigue from last year, overconfidence followed by lack of confidence or whatever else... Really weird stuff and I wish there was a more logical explanation to it, at this time last year Chelsea were running over the league with the same players.

All in all it remains a small sample and a pretty tough one (think they've had the 2nd or 3rd toughest schedule in the league) so gonna wait a few more games against weaker teams to make sure to have a strong opinion. If they still can't create much nor defend to an acceptable level at home vs a promoted side then i'd start worrying about top 4 chances for real

Didn't know leicester hit the woodwork twice in 1st half and conceded the 2nd goal on the counter attack following a blatant foul. suspect i'd have heard a lot about it if it had been the other way around

Watching MOTD

Demichelis doesn't get a yellow for the foul before the Kane goal why exactly?

Luckily I watched BT Sport's coverage and Michael Owen explained it to us. He told us that if Demichelis didn't already have a yellow he'd have got a second yellow for that challenge and would have been sent off.

Hope this helps.

this...I've made a point so many times that when a player has a yellow already he gets away with 1-2 yellow card offenses additionally before getting sent off. Tilting but what can you do?

I prefer it like this than the alternative to be honest. Red cards do nothing to help a game as a spectacle. Dishing out second yellows for trips that are not dangerous/cynical/malicious but which by the strict letter of the law should be yellow is kind of sucky imo. I like the unwritten rule where a second yellow card offence in severity is somewhere between a first yellow card offence and a red card offence. Or alternatively, as often happens, the ref gives the second yellow after an accumulation of borderline offences.

i wasn't convinced that the 2nd one was a yellow anyway, and considering the 1st one was for nothing, it would have been extremely harsh to send him off for that. essentially a straight red, for that. nah. just a foul was fine there.

refs do a lot of silly things, it's similar to the whole can't book a guy early / for his 1st foul, even when it's worthy of one a lot of the time. you just brutalized a guy, but nope, just a warning. then in the 2nd half, especially late, every. single. foul. is a booking. k.

u trolllin bro? dissent shouldn't be classified as nothing. and it was the most obvious of yellows when he fouled lamela. like a perfect example of a yellow card infringement.

Not really. Whats better for the game is where a defender who is beaten has to let the attacker through. This particular incident was even worse as he'd just given like 2 far softer yellows iirc.

Chelsea this seasons Dortmund? Such a bizarre start to their season.
09-26-2015 , 07:54 PM
probably not a very good comparison

think Dortmund had a lot of injuries + historic runbad in the 1st half of last season

Chelsea are just playing terribly in most facets of the game

Dortmund were still very comical at the back last year which Chelsea are certainly guilty of
