Hi,

Walters scored last time out in the lone striker role so not a shock that he gets another go at it, especially as Diouf may still have a niggle.

Redmond will get left out from time to time especially away from home as he's perceived to be a bit lightweight. It was like that last year in The Championship so don't see why it would be different this year. I was being slightly disingenuous to criticise though - he has strong pedigree as an impact player off the bench as he damn well proved. So even if you do only get a quarter of the minutes out of him sometimes, on those occasions you'll get more than a quarter of the points on average.

But really my post was just a reflexive desire to call a **** a ****. Better to do it when I'm doing decently myself lest I be accused of bitterness (not beyond the realm I get close to you this week (47 points before bonus pts with 5 players to come (well, 4.75 since Pedro is playing now))).

This for the matial part.

They are but we're playing that bad they looked comfortable throughout. They granted didn't look like scoring but neither did we.

Captaining or having any man utd players in your team is a no go at the moment - defence or keeper aside as we're going to - or should do - keep a lot of clean sheet due to the negative style of keeping the ball for the sake of keeping the ball.
Lol W T F

Looked comfortable throughout are you high? xG was like 2.5-0.5

Starting to think your problem with LVG is something personal rather than objective

I mean we won 3-0 and should have had at least another when memphis bottled the sick martial play, what more do you ****ing want?

Martial is great, but if you can't figure out why he isn't as good a pick as other players this week then you don't pay enough attention.

MUN hate shooting, and martial is going to be better in a more open game. Martial may get a goal, but his chances will be limited. Someone like MEMPHIS, or ALEXIS are both higher volume shooters and will have a higher chance of going off for multiple goals. Hard to score a hat trick when you aren't even taking 3 shots a game.

MUN fans so used to scoring on every shot they take that their views are a bit distorted I guess.

so it appears chelsea still aids

I mean it's not like there aren't subs or anything so you can take risks and still be positioned to have rotation if those plays don't play.

I already retreated slightly if you bothered to read my post but now I think you're being disingenuous. If those dudes didn't score in the 40 mins they had between them they'd have scored a grand total of 1 point each and your dudes on the bench wouldn't have come into play.

DS somewhat douchey here, but mostly right

Btw, isnt it awful to play Martial 90 minutes here? You have a big CL game midweek, on pace to run him into the ground

YESSSSSSSSSSS

Oh wow sweet defending lmfao

It does take a great football expert with mathematical expertise that watches a lot of football to figure diouf would start today after stoke had their best game last week with walters playing up top

Rofl Chelsea.

Martial clearly great, but there is no way he isen't gonna put up a fair few stinkers at 19 years old.
09-26-2015 , 01:19 PM
Ducksauce is right ..... Martial isn't going to keep scoring every time he touches the ball (which is almost never)

Are you kidding me here? Yeah we won the game but it's simply unsustainable to continue to score with so few shots and more so on target and shots in the box.

We're so ****ing slow, predictable and don't create any chances. Before todays game we had 100% goal scored record on shots on target in our last couple of games. Every shot we had on target resulted in a goal. Lets see what happens when we don't remain on god mode to win games and see how that works out.

We're simply not creating enough chances, let alone clear cut chances in order for players to score goals to make it worth while regardless of who we are playing to make them captain.

Put it this way, you aren't going to be confidant betting on a single man utd player to score a goal.

not gonna let this tidal wave of ducksauce self fellatio overshadow my own performance in the 'omg told u so look how samrt i be' title race,

What I'm saying is, you are not wrong about us being toothless in attack, but we make up for it by giving away almost nothing. LvG is only here for this and the next season, I'm fine with use being solid and just getting top 3-4 and incrementally improving the squad until we get someone who can take us to the next level (in this regard I think it would be insane to appoint Giggs). I, at least, think this is much better than some sort of a fast-pace variance fest that I'm not sure we have the squad to handle. The way we play we are massive favorites to at least not lose vs the majority of the league and usually eek out the wins. For now, that is enough.

All told, our results have been great and, while we are running hot with respect to conversion rates, we have looked comfortable. Toothless and boring, but solid. Obviously I'm not at all thrilled at this turning into a status quo for us.
09-26-2015 , 01:42 PM
so ducksauce is seriously arguing that captaining someone playing away from home is better than captaining someone playing at home against the worst team in the league? does his model know something about sunderland that our eye test doesn't?

Good effort but I expect Dicksauce will weigh in and tell us all the statistically superior method for autofellatio. Some lucky penises following this thread!

I am sure it is part of LVG's masterplan to not create much and not concede much to have a low variance route to top 4 and improve the team gradually so that his successor can take the team to the next level
