Karl henry is so slow on the ball. Our defense is so porous. Jesus. Hope we see leroy fer soon.

4 0 and Austin off injured. Not the best day to be a QPR fan.

May not be even in the top 3 this year after relegation day, us playing them off the park at home in the cup and something else

Is it ever?

It's really nice as a Sheffield Wednesday fan to see how we were comfortably the better team vs. Fulham last week and now Fulham has just thumped QPR. I get that it's not a great way to assess relative strength (teams match up differently, variance in performance, etc) but it's an encouraging sign. I'm not used to encouraging signs as a Wednesday fan. I guess you'd call what I am experiencing "cautious optimism". The "optimism" part of that is very unfamiliar.

That was a slight ramble cos I've been on the ale. I think we've got a decent shot at a play off finish which in relative terms is dreamland. Despite my optimism, I think anybody who at this point envisages us challenging for the automatics needs committing.

can definitely relate. I guess Everton fans are somewhat fortunate to have had a lifetime in the top flight, but I spend very little time feeling genuinely optimistic, and most of it just longing for the sweet release of death.

This is where I shake my head and tell you that you have no idea! Twenty years ago Sheffield Wednesday and Everton were clubs of pretty even stature. Hell, we even poached Andy Hinchcliffe from you at a time when his future looked to be that of a potential regular for England rather than the perennial crock that he turned out to be.

Now every Wednesday fan would give their left bollock (or right, your choice!) to be close to where Everton are. While Everton have plateaued, Wednesday have had lows and lowers like an underground roller coaster. I expect what you feel in relation to Everton is a malaise, rather than the utter despair of a Wednesday fan!

I'm not having a dig, by the way. Just having fun. I find it interesting that people adjust to find success relative to their current situation. I've lived in the North East recently and have good friends from most of the clubs up there. My Boro friend though disappointed to lose the playoff final has been generally delighted with how his club has been going on for the last few years. My Hartlepool friends were happy to stay in the Football League last year and giddy that they look so comfortable so far this season. In contrast, the Newcastle and Sunderland fans are crestfallen at how things are. It's a funny old game!

Ask Sheff Weds and Everton fans if Levy has done ok.

Wonder how much the ground will cost Spurs net? £400m is being tagged, but take off naming rights, NFL deal, dry-humping Haringey Council.....

....can LevyGOAT make a net profit on the stadium??

Imagine the delightful balancee sheet levy will have after cashing in on Eriksen,Lloris and Kane! Surely there will be some kind of street parade organized?

Arse fans dont get to make accountancy cup jokes, as it was all they banged on about for years.

No Asian money for both Leicester or Bournemouth today (you were right chef). Arsenal getting backed in quite hard actually which surprises me with the absence of Coquelin.
