Has improved immensely v stronger strikers as he was having a great deal of problems at the start of the season, he is quick as lightening and not only reads the game well but can actually play football.

Hope he proves me wrong but I think it'll be next season before we see how good he can be, still played hardly any football so the more experience the better for him IMO.
agree his game reading abilities and the way he plays with the ball are the most impressive about him

Worked for me, done it for a bit of fun

Accidentally putting it on BBC2, showing a documentary about the royal family

The mc1 household must have been amazing during the 2012 Olympics.

Would say who gives a **** about the anthem but my country of origin got 3pts deducted because of pitch invasion over a flag...so there's that

I completely agree with not respecting the anthem. It's based on murder and pillage. The more like McLean, the better. Footballers are hugely influential to the youth here in the UK and they should know how absurdly archaic it is to still respect and revere a royal figure.

so you're against 'national anthems' being sung presumably?

Anybody got an idea how come it wont work for me?

Willhills live chat support is the absolute worst. Explained how I am trying to play the prem predictor game however all I can see where the game should be is a blank white space. Told them I have tried multiple browsers and devices but they all come up the same and they just copy&paste the Prem Predictor T&Cs.

I then say that the problem doesn't have anything to do with their T&Cs just the page won't load. They then copy and paste them again with the part about a maximum 250 entries highlighted.

So I speak to a different person even send them screen shots showing how I can see just a blank white space for the predictor game but every other section of the site the markets load up perfectly. They reply by telling me I can play the predictor game "Online, Via the app and In the shops". When I tell them I am trying to play it online but can't because there seems to be a problem she just repeats the same sentence.

Guess I will have to pop into a shop.

I don't think what he did is that big an issue. Unless there is some sort of law which says you must do it which I'm not aware off. I know my parents would not be keen on me looking towards a Union Jack during the English national anthem. You prob need to have grown up and been around during it all to fully understand why you wouldn't do it.

Not gonna turn this into a political debate cause **** that **** but I wouldn't call him stupid for sticking to his beliefs.

Lost 11-0 to sliema wanderers tho, Michael mifsud possibly the best player I've ever faced
Mifsud is a cult hero over here in Australia after a stint in the local league, glad thread regs got to play against him.

Im thinking the Simpsons episode where the Space shuttle launch is on TV and after the remote breaks Bart dives for the powerpoint...

-------------------------------

Never played against any great footballers, because I have a talent of a squirrel obviously, and I didnt get to finger any of the Spice Girls, but I did valuebet Phil Ivey with fifth pair in a tournament once so I have that going for me.

Spoiler:
I was turning my hand into a bluff, and he called against my perceived polarised range with worse, but don't tell anyone that lest I ruin my story.

Seems a strange conclusion to draw from my post.

you seem to be against political statements by footballers on football pitches, but you have nothing to say about footballers singing of the song of a political entity, whose title is "God save the Queen"; whose first line is "God save our gracious Queen"; and which, in its full version at least, speaks of "crushing rebellious Scots" and no doubt other political statements

England does not employ him to play football. Its a stretch to say he takes Englands money.

He does get payed in English money, so you are saying being payed in currency X obliges you to sing anthems and face flags etc.

He should put in a request to be payed in Euros.

Man Nazi Germany did some horrible things, but if Hitler wants to pay me to come play football there, cool

Ings looked OK ,Milner was very good and scored ,Henderson was good ,the defence looked as dodgy as ever,Lallana had a few nice touches and scored a nice goal and Ibe when he came on in the second half showed lots of good touches taking on and beating guys repeatedly.

In general we were devoid of creativity going forward which given the guys who played is probably to be expected but was disappointing.

yeah, you're misunderstanding me.

I'm against having the political opinions of imbeciles rammed down my throat at any time. I'm therefore not interested in seeing a pro footballer make a stand against the National Anthem, just like I'm not interested in discussing Scottish independence with you in a football thread!
