Sunderland need to disappear from this league. Newcastle too. Watford maybe the third to go.

That would suit me

"Everyone knows Diego and this guy likes to cheat a lot and put the opponents out of his game, and that happened in the game," Zouma told beIN Sports.

"It's harsh to take literally the words of a young player spoken in his second language immediately after a game," said a Chelsea spokesperson.

idk ... his English seems pretty fluent to me

I mean Chelsea got a taste of what he is like when they played Atletico in the CL. Think he had a run in with a few of them IIRC. He's the perfect Mourinho player.

nah yr too pessimistic, i think good times ahead for poolites. inevitable that some bored arab or chinese billionaire ghw buys pool and turns up at anfield with a money hosepipe turned up to the max. ffp wont be a problem given worldwide toilet roll holder sales.

until then they should just grit teeth and pray to god that no bored billionaire who jumped on the everton bandwagon in 1985 turns up

former soviet union might be a better bet actually, those blokes all stole their billions during the early 90s and that was prime pool ghw growth years (much like mun now, no one could predict the 20+ year league title drought which the team was to go through)

I'm acutely aware that the MOTD highlights can be very deceptive, but both NE clubs seemed to create more chances this week.

fwiw - and I'm not sure it's worth a lot re individual games - the xG ratings were 0.6-0.6 in the Sunderland game and Newcastle 0.8-1.1 Watford.

yeah - but they've all made most of an exit and already diversified (eg RA) or been gotten by Putin or are so deeply embedded it's unlikely they'll get their money out soon/ever

the swings on Suarez v Bale in terms of net transfer spend is an example of why focussing on that is ******ed

spend £74m on Firmino, Lallana & Markovic, start Milner, Lucas & Can at home vs Norwich

shame Suarez isn't around to go out there and just bag hattricks anymore

Clarets unchanged for tonight's game against Derby.

Barton on the bench.

How long has Tom Ince been going by his Sunday name?

idk who suggested focussing on it, but it's certainly a factor in the discussion.

This one tickles my tits as much anything, and is one of the first things I point to to demonstrate this guy has no clue, no plan, and is just making it up as he goes

This is another thing I can't stand. These extremely negative midfields at home to ****ing **** clubs. Why are Milner, Lucas, AND Can starting at home to ****ing Norwich? I know Can was a CB but still. Just play an attacking lineup
