I don't have a link but I think it was established that if you're looking to maximize goal scoring that keeping possession (short corner) is better than firing a corner kick into the box

I know the fans have a pop at Martinez every now and then and he does have a bit of a snake oil salesman vibe to him but you can't deny that this is the upside you get when you have him as manager.

Yeah some matches it'll look like stale recycled possession in midfield but there's no way you get this beauty of a match if you had a bog standard "traditional" manager in his place
