Have to be challenging for the league - no excuses if we aren't In the hunt come April / May time. CL is going to be incredibly interesting for us. I think we could make a serious run at it.

No way United makes a serious title challenge with current back four

my guess is that 4th is good enough to keep his job

did anyone ever do the maf wrt how much £ mun lose out on if they finish 4th vs finishing 5th? would be interested to see it. my best guess is in the £80m-100m range

Not sure.

Something reasonable and fair. I leave on Friday so I'll be able to speak to the bookies and get odds. Unless someone else has it?

I don't get the adm love itt, he was really bad and couldn't get a game for 8months of the year. His wage and cost it's simply not good enough any club/level in relative terms.

Man City, potentially Man U if they keep Degea and buy cb

he was one of RMs top performers 12 months ago when they were arguably the best team in the world. why cant he get back to that level?

Because he's really really really good?

not PL proven

Di Maria likes to play everything going forward and high risk so there's going to be periods of a match where he's giving away cheap ball. Admittedly though some of his crossing was woeful last season.

Not comparing them as players but Coutinho is similar in that he's always looking to get on the half turn and play difficult defence splitting passes that are often intercepted.

Just finished watching Liverpool v Thailand. Observations:
-Origi involved in some nice link up, scored as well as hitting the post twice.
-Someone should have told Hendo it was a friendly, in the refs face, smashing players etc. Nice rabona assist for Lallana's goal though.
-Markovic looks like he's been on the weights
-Clyne and Ibe could offer a lot on that right side
-We're still rolling out Lambert

Yeah, and this doesn't really fly with LvG's low risk possession plan, think it's the main reason he was benched and seems like he might not be in his plans.

Pretty excited to see ADM this season, he'll be more settled, in a more structured team. Think he's a pretty big confidence player (Naniesque), so hope he hits the ground running.

Would be huge for Man U if Dimaria could regain his Real form. I much prefer him on the left of three in midfield rather than wing becauase it allows him to use his amazing stamina, but given united's signings its unlikely he'll play their much.

could do this except you don't get the fun of captain points then

we just use another email and wife's name and have a 2nd team for the draft. The point of the redraft is so we get to meet up twice a season to get drunk and pick fantasy teams and berate each other!

Sounds awesome. Certainly can't argue with that. I'd love to be a part of it this year if there is room

Really hope we don't just give up on Markovic and give him chances in a preferred position. Otherwise why spend 20m on him when you were always paying for potential? Lot of mouths to feed, makes the Firmino signing all the more puzzling

Agree that Markovic looked like he'd been in the gym. Very important and good to see.

Really don't like giving up on Di Maria after one down year. New culture + house broken into stuff. Like baids has said, if he was **** at the beginning of the year and then had a good end to the year, it wouldn't be talked about it. Form is temporary, class is permanent, etc etc. Guy is a legit top 10 player in the world.

Markovic turned 21 in March, he's still super young and shouldn't be in our best eleven. Firminho is 23, proven, versatile, and by all accounts, ****ing awesome. Not a puzzling signing at all.

In for fantasy footy draft if possible.
