I've always believed Merson to be a very great fool, and it's good to see him working hard to reinforce that. That article is absolutely brainless.

He's getting paid over 6 figures a year to talk nonsense so there are plenty bigger fools around.

I need to give them a B- because they didn't get what they needed and ended up buying anybody they could.

I'm not sure about Virgil van Dijk at all because he's been playing for Celtic and hasn't had to head a ball.

Harry Redknapp says Man City are his dark horse to win the league

Not sure if Arry understands the concept of a dark horse

The way I interpreted it is that he thinks Son and N'jie are ****, i.e. That's all they could get.

Of course it's odds on he's never seen either of them play.

LÜL

You bought three players tho. Is Martinez collecting right sided midfielders? McGeady, Mirallas, Deulofeu and now Lennon.

He also said this was the worst Liverpool team he's seen in a long time. Based on the last game I'm finding it hard to argue with him.

This is the best team Liverpool have had in a long long time, he's not wrong about that.

We have the quality, depth and options to beat everyone but Rodgers seems to be unable to realise when he's up against teams who park the bus he actually has to change his style to beat them.

This isn't the best team we've had in a long time but I completely agree with you about Rodgers. I'm resigned to the fact that we'll be staying in the 5-8 range for final league position until he's gone which hopefully will be before Christmas. The furor over one loss has been pretty significant and if we lose again against Utd it'll be deafening.

The majority of the supporters never rated Rodgers but a lot gave him a lot of leeway after the 2nd place finish which is gone after what happened last year. It's only a matter of time until the entire fanbase is against him.

sacking the brentmeister general and bringing in someone foriegn with good hair sounds expensive tho
09-02-2015 , 09:48 AM
can't wait for the Klopp effect at Liverpool
09-02-2015 , 09:49 AM
It's the only way we'll start competing for top 4 again. I'm not even talking about competing for trophy's, simply top 4. We're ****ed until we get a better manager who does more then talk a good game.
09-02-2015 , 09:56 AM
why dont you think brent can compete for top 4.

he gave you arguably your best league campaign for 25 odd years with only the 5th highest wage bill in the league
09-02-2015 , 10:05 AM
plop will be in the mix for top 4 simply because United and spuds ****ed up this summer while plop quietly had a very good summer. Lot of overreacting after one bad game going on.

We also had the third best player in the world that year. He's had one good season out of 3. I think the season we had when we got second was down to having Suarez more then what Rodgers did. 2 out of the 3 years he's been in charge has been god awful and the signs so far point to more of the same **** that we saw last year then the great football we saw 2 years ago.

fans are very into the "blame the manager" narrative whenever their team sucks though. So maybe sacking the manager is a good short term solution to keep the toilet roll sales going.
09-02-2015 , 10:18 AM
I just don't want to listen to him speak anymore

But yeah, value over Rodgers of almost all managers we could get is probably minimal
09-02-2015 , 10:21 AM
if you guys got klopp in, what would be your expectations? top 4 every year?
09-02-2015 , 10:27 AM
Consecutive league titles obv

Darmian/Depay/Schneiderlin/Schweinsteiger are all excellent additions and we've kept DDG. The jury is out on Martial but on paper he at least has the characteristics of what the side needs.

Doubt that Plop picking up Benaverage and Milner will push them ahead of us.
09-02-2015 , 10:38 AM
Yes, we had a great start to the summer, but then we sold AdM without replacing him and let go of all our attacking depth. Martial will have to be very ****ing good right away for this not to have been a **** up. I also wouldn't be surprised to see LvG sticking with Romero if DDG doesn't sign a new contract, so keeping him might not mean much.
