Also this has to be a peak low for the people in this thread...the bulk of the team's supported in here are awful to meh - United/Plop/Spurs/Arse/Chels/Everton - nobody really supports City..

Sheff United undisputed Kings of the Thread...Wigan and Burnley not so much

Re that net spend table - the club has spent a fair bit, yet we've failed to realise any significant value from our signings. All the big signings have been underwhelming (Carroll, Jarvis, Valencia account for £38m between them). I guess that Sakho, Adrian, Creswell, Reid are still with the club and represent assets, but we really have done poorly.

Congratulations to Daniel Levy for getting Spurs fans to continue to pony up good money for him not to spend any.

Diego Costa is very overrated by a lot of people. He was being compared to Lewandoski like two weeks ago. Costa is very good, but he's not much more than a poacher.

Kane will be fine. He won't repeat his numbers, but he's getting a lot of chances and creating a lot more as well. If he "only" scores like 14 this year people will say he's regressed, but it will just be the actual numbers doing so.

Just like last year, Arsenal haven't found the right balance in attack yet and won't for another month. They're getting a ton of chances (most shots/xG in the PL), but it should be better.

@Frantic. I should have put in some sort of 'so long as he's fit' qualifier, Ramsey is certainly the more valuable asset, I just think Wilshire is better and underrated by many non-Arse fans because he's a bit of a prick and obviously a dumbass.

Liverpool next up for us at home. They will be without Coutinho which is a result. If we somehow lose that then things could start to get interesting behind the scenes. I dunno about other fans but I don't mind losing games but its the way we lose them that really annoys me. We are just bad to watch right now, there's nothing that really gets you on the edge of your seat. Teams just find us easy to play against and they can sit back and hit us on the break with ease.

I don't care what anyone says but Carrick is a must starter for me every week.

Yeah, I understand you mean that...but the reality is that it's unlikely Wilshere will play 35+ games in a season any time soon. I think Wilshere is the bigger talent, they've both had one great year, but Ramsey put up some great score points in his and it was two years ago, not five.

KW, United are predictable. Not in a good way either. It will be a disaster if you guys lose next week.

Chelsea are also in "must win" mode basically every game until City drop some points.

Why did people expect anything to change? You have the same coach and signed two good possession midfielders and got rid of your most exciting (and inconsistent) attacking player, replacing him with a much more raw version.

Crazy weekend, have not watched any football (aside from the Liverpool game sadly) but seems like a crazy amount of red cards being handed out.

Before the season I was not fussed either way whether Rodgers was sacked or stayed but now I am officially joining the Rodgers out brigade. How he can have all the options at his disposal that he has and still cannot figure out how to break down teams that park the bus.

Also Rooney banging a hat-trick against Brugge (who somehow beat Standard 7-1 today) might be the best thing for non-man utd fans

the most likely way rooney doesnt play up front for united at this point is if he himself decides to sit out for the good of the club

We have just built a new training HQ and are in the process of self financing a stadium - no loans, as Levy GOAT.

Top 4 is now a closed shop, no reason to spend.
