listen up ladies & gents, your glorious leader zaids is in a bit of an eggball based quandary and needs a helping hand.

the soccerball posters play fantasy nfl drafts are tomorow (6pm lasting to approx 9pm britain time) and zaids is in both leagues, but has decided he cant face the outside world right noe due to the torment and ridicule he would have to endure re: chelsea's pathetic start to the season.

he needs someone to draft for him.

perfect opportunity for someone with some burgeoning eggball interest to dip their toe into fantasy risk free. alternatively, an experienced eggballer might opt to do this out of the kindness of their heart.

you get two perks: 5% of zaids winnings (could be as much as $20*), second, you move to the front of the queue for a fantasy eggball spot next year if you so desire.

both leagues are auctions. you'll need to be around some point tomorow afternoon so we can sort out your access to the league, and you'll need to be around from 6-9pm to do the drafting. further details on the league are in the fantasy subforum.

Half the bet is at PK (draw = tie), half the bet is at +0.5 (draw = win). Noted as "+0.25" or "PK and +0.5"

son and/or n'jie need to be really good really fast. and i would probably go ahead and start dele alli. the kid is a star in the making.
There were lots of positives yesterday. Ok, we were profligate in the final third, but Bentaleb gave us a bit more purpose going forward, and I thought Dier was just really good along-side him. He beings physicality to the middle of the park, his passing is surprisingly good, and is obviously exceptional in the air in both boxes. Vertonghen probably MoM for Spurs.

I really like Mason, and despite several failures in the final third where either his touch, shooting or vision let him down he didn't hide or stop working for the team. Obviously in an ideal world he isn't a starter, but he is important to the team over the course of a season.

I can 100% see where Son fits into this Spurs team - he might be just a posh Townsend, but we really need that directness in attack with guys willing to get beyond Kane. Alli also does this, and they should both be pushing for starts against Sunderland. We obviously really missed Eriksen, and it was a shame Pritchard didn't get longer.

Next up are Sunderland away, and FK Qarabag at home. We won't get a better chance to fill our boots with goals before 3 tough games (albeit all at home) against Palace, Arse and Man City

Mason is just so weak, similar to Ramsey but without the class. Although saying this, quite a few of the Arsenal fans I know despised Ramsey in his first couple of seasons after joining the club.

As there is 6 months age difference between the two, hopefully lightning can strike twice and Mason's development curve can mirror Ramsey's, but unfortunately for us, I just don't see that happening.

Lay Man Utd today.
08-30-2015 , 03:57 AM
I don't remember anyone hating Ramsey pre injury. A few had no patience for him returning from it, though.
08-30-2015 , 03:58 AM
A lot of people thought Ramsay was "****" in the world before he decided to GOAT it up
08-30-2015 , 04:03 AM
Most Arsenal fans itt gave Marty dogs abuse when he said Ramsey was good and would eventually be better than Wilshere.
08-30-2015 , 04:10 AM
Wilshere was better at the time and has had like 5 major injuries since then, don't think that's controversial.
08-30-2015 , 04:10 AM
For clarification: Arsenal fans I know in real life and unfortunately I know quite a few. The general consensus among them back then was that "Ramsey is terrible".
08-30-2015 , 04:26 AM
There was tons of positivity and excitement surrounding Ramsey pretty much since the day he joined the club.

He really got a lot of terrible abuse after his return from injury though, especially in 2012. He was completely off social media for like a year.
08-30-2015 , 04:47 AM
I never thought of the Mason/Ramsey comparisons (no idea why...) but Mason did have 2 of our three best chances yesterday, and if he can take 10 of those a season, he suddenly becomes a really useful player.

He is still inexperienced in PL terms, so i guess anything is possible.... I mean, look at not only Ramsey, but Henderson as well....
08-30-2015 , 05:45 AM
Then think of Tom Cleverley

Still hasn't shown he can be as good/important for Arsenal as Ramsey has, not even close.

Also the small fact of a horrendous leg break for Rambo to contend with and that Wilshere got to play with better players/team during his breakout season rather than the pish that was beside Ramsey.

its v hard to project where potential will end up. see janujaz > sterling.

still need one of you wankers to step up and draft for zaids tonight.
08-30-2015 , 06:11 AM
I'm declaring war against any top side that doesn't use mobile centrebacks/defensive mids as the deepest defensive players when at home to a weaker side. Pointless received wisdom to have two lumps who can't pass or cover ground.

Those slagging off Rodgers this morning, would do well to remember the improvements he's made in the last 3 years.
