Yes, I am well aware on Newcastle's history over the last 20 odd years. But, there was a season (02 or 03 maybe?) when they were already passed by that they achieved 4th. I've killed a lot of brain cells since then, but, I don't remember them being major players in the transfer market at that time.

We were third in 02/03 and fourth in 01/02, but were still pretty big spenders back then, probably top 5 or so in the league money wise.

Likewise, Leeds were big spenders back before the massive lol Leeds.

A quick Wiki shows Kieron Dyer, Jermaine Jenas, Hugo Viana, Titus Bramble, Jonathon Woodgate, Craig Bellamy, Laurent Robert and Carl ****ing Cort on the books back then, all of whom cost considerable money at the time.

Coutinho (and Rafinha) also called up to Brazil NT as a replacement for the injured Oscar and Ramires.

A more appropriate question would be: how many clubs with Palace's resources have qualified for the champions league.

Loads of clubs with a blue peter budget finished top 4 in the early premier league years.

Arsenal on multiple occasions qualified for the CL with zero net spend, yes I'm talking about net spend not spend, net spend.

Then Everton once.

This is an important question to whether you are forgiven or not.

arse wages were always top 4 sized even when they were selling their best player every year

Spurs and Utd both look like decent lays this weekend. Evens and around 6/5. We are prob a lay as well but hammers historically tragic at Anfield
08-28-2015 , 01:36 PM
I've layed Villa at 1.87, out to evens already

Bournemouth 2.24 at home to Leicester looks very short.

spurs seems overrated in der markt, but then again everton played extra time mid week so maybe odds are accurate.
08-28-2015 , 01:43 PM
No Erikson = pub team spurs
08-28-2015 , 01:47 PM
Fwiw I think that match is a complete fade in all fronts.

swans is easily the best value of the weekend, imo.

utd extra overrated due to that midweek win, and swans underrated in general.

How can you say someone is under rated/over rated. Surely the bookies know this and adjust accordingly?? I don't understand? Surely they're way way smarter than one random guy on the internet?

Just asking, I don't know anything about how bookies operate.
