im sorry but just no. Imagine being the lino in the moment. He thinks a guy is offisde. He cant just go "give attacker the advantage". hes going to get BLASTED if he does that one or twice. You do what you feel is right in the moment...not a "i feel im right, but im going to give attacker advantage for sake of it"

Nah, I mean when you look at the pass then look at the player and if he's running and say at that time he is offside by a ball hair, the back line/last defender is standing still just give it as he'd likely made up that ball hair on the last defender if he's running full pelt onto the through ball.

There are we tough offside calls but that wasn't one of them. The defender was at the very top of the 18, Ramsey was not inside the box. He made a bad error. It was only like a 12 yd pass as well.
