He could of left out one of the four fullbacks either, Clyne can play either side if the starting LB picked up an injury.

Having the correct cover in defence is more important than having two similar style average players, Henderson and Drinkwater in the same squad.

Milners **** but plays a different position mostly.

I like Milner a little and thought about this but the squad already has Sterling and Lallana in it, so I don't see much value in having Milner as a right sided attacking player.

I don't know what the lineup is but given how poor the centrebacks are I'd have been playing a 3 player screen in midfield to help them - crippled Jack, Dier AND Drinkwater.

Still enough offense out of the front 3 ..... but then again I'd be benching Rooney.
