Don't like Chris Evans and his first 5 mins on top gear haven't changed that.

I want Top Gear back.

That's part of Clarkson's charm.

Ffs they've put a car on the back of a recovery truck on their first trip, when they should just let him try fix it on his own per usual.

I'm sad.

top gear hasn't been watchable for many years anyway. no ideas left and the hosts became parodies on themselves.

best english speaking stand-ups?
(preferably with as little country specific "inside jokes" as possible)

you wont go far wrong with Louis CK and Bill Burr, though I'm sure there are several newer, cooler ones others can recommend.

best i've seen is ed byrne, although the latter qualification may potentially be an issue

2nd Louis CK and Bill Burr. Jim Jeffries is also one of my favs. Best comedy special of the last few years is Anthony Jeselnik "Shakespeare" pretty dark humour but I'd highly rec to anyone

Stewart Lee is an acquired taste, but I've always enjoyed his exaggerated deadpan style

Louis CK, Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr and oldschool George Carlin ofc is a nice place to start

If you're looking for something new and hip you could check out Bo Burnham. It's more performance than straight comedy. He sings/reads poem does sound effects/does stand up.

I like Jim Norton but it can get pretty dirty so if that's not your thing you won't like him. Louis CK is an obvious one

Stewart Lee is the absolute best but it's pretty much the definition of country specific content.
