Yeah, that's him. For some reason, in my memory, he was Australian. He was my age (78er like myself) and just always had a positive vibe surrounding him it seemed like. He played great Snooker, too. Again, shame he didn't win that battle.

We were having some sandwiches and randomly came upon the "deceased" section of a German magazine that layed on the table in that place.
Paul Hunter was in there and we were just absolutely stunned to see him featured next to all the 80+ year olds. It took us about 10 seconds at least to realize he's gone for real.
We were watching him all the time, it seemed, and had no idea he was ill. Certainly among the favorite players.

I'm an Ebdon fan. I really enjoy watching safety battles so anyone who routinely turns down half chances to keep it tight is fine by me. There's obviously also a large element of rooting for the guy who everyone irrationally hates to see them get mad.
