Should've been a penalty to chelsea there, clattenburg likely not paying attention.

At least Newcastle gets to play Villa twice next year.

He clearly had some issues there but he was only there for 6 months I believe? Certainly not enough time to write someone off. If you look at our squad we've taken a lot of down and out players and revived them. The clearest example is Arnautovic who looked to be throwing his career down the pan and drew a lot of criticism for his petulance and his unwillingness to track back for the first few seasons. Now he's being looked at by some of the top clubs in the world and we're going to have a fight on our hands to get him to sign a new contract.

6 month in Porto is enough for them to cheat the bog money clubs into spending 30m on the likes of Alex Sandros and Fernandos.
Anyway, I actually liked Imbula, the kid as potential and he certainly knows how to move the ball.

Our hope is that he's the Nzonzi upgrade that we've been desperate for, he has a similar way to zonz in that when he's on the ball with players closing him down he swerves his body and just creates time and space. More an attack minded player than zonz though but then we've got Whelan and Affelay who can do the tidying up job alongside that Nzonzi was so good at, or sit in when he pushes ahead.

I'm sure there's a chart that suggests this is right vs an average striker. Probs should have let Borini through though
