Maybe they were protesting their Merseyside neighbours planned high ticket prices?

agree he's been good but disagree it's been seamless. One of Vert's best attributes is that he's so calm on the ball on the buildup. Spurs are vulnerable to pressure back there because Rose, Davies, Walker, and Dier will all cough up possession if you flinch at them enough; none of them is awful, but they're all more than ready to make one bad giveaway/game under stress. But Vertonghen and Toby (and Dembele checking back) are so solid in these spots that Spurs pull it off. Wimmer, it's too soon to tell. Imo he seems good but not a real natural at buildup play, but whatever, we'll take it, he's definitely a physical force and he might be a great permanent replacement for Vert down the road. But imo Spurs did not look at all comfy when City was applying some token pressure.

(Fwiw I think Trippier is shrimpy and meh at the defending part of his position, but his ball presence and soccer brain is terrific, definitely the best of our four FBs. In games where Spurs figure to dominate possession I have no problem with him in over Walker, but if he's out there yesterday vs Aguero or Sterling then mayday mayday.)

I've been critical of him in the past, but I thought Danny Rose was Spurs best player in the first half yesterday..

so done watching both games

giroud probably still one of the most underrated players around, there are less than a handful strikers I would rather have as he is invaluable for the team in so many ways.
thought we played really really well(both ways) but it always shows that we miss cazorla when someone as good as kante is on özil.
coq still not even remotely close to 100% either.
alexis pretty bad as well, looks a bit mad since coming back from injury, not sure what's going on there.

pellegrini with the right plan let spurs have the ball, probably would have won the game if it wasn't for lolref.
city still a very flawed team with their 2 real quality players in the same position(kdb/silva)peps needs a striker, winger, cm and better fullbacks.
spurs look really good considering their lack of individual quality, atletico madrid light.

FAO BAIDS

Am I mistaken or did I read on here once that you had a friend who got the bang treatment from alleged paedo AJ?

She could maybe sell story to tabloid if there was any deviant behaviour from him

Yeah I mean Vertonghen is what? top three CB itw on the ball?? so while Wimmer is not like-for-like it's just not obvious Verts is missing, aside from a very slightly nervy start yesterday.

Agree on Tripper - just amazing to have him as an option. Up and down, lazer-guided crosses but not good enough at defending to play FB. Which for 75% of games is enough to get him the nod, but when we might have to defend for periods I'd take Walker. Considering what Poch has done with Danny Rose, I'd back Tripper to be a top 3 RB ITBLITW in a couple of seasons.

**** son you're right, i had completely forgotten about that. htf did u remember. i think i posted about it once like 4 years ago.

iirc (debatable) the story goes like this: my friend (girl 1) (barely knew her tbh) spent a night in adam johnson's house. her friend (girl 2) had hooked up with him in da club. girl 2 and AJ wanted to go sex but girl 2 didnt wanna leave girl 1 on her own, so the three of them went to his house. girl 1 goes to sleep while girl 2 and AJ bang. apparently it was a disaster because he used some kinda lube which made her vagina feel like it was on fire and they had to stop the sex. by the way, girl 1 is from manchester so i assume this was when AJ was playing for city.

notes:

girl 1 was about 20 at the time and i assume girl 2 was same age
girl 1 is hot AF, safe assumption that girl 2 is also since they tend to group according to hotness

unfortunately im not in contact with girl 1 or i'd ask some pertinent questions and get some more details (eg did girl 2 look like a 12 year old back then)

Model gives spurs about 25% to win the league now. Anyone still think they should try to win the EL?
02-15-2016 , 04:14 PM
Which model?

Ritchie De Laet will get both a Premiership winners medal and Championship winners medal in the same season if both Leicester and Boro do it, pretty funny that.

Trippier

And if his defensive ability improves as much in his next 12 months as it has in his last couple of seasons at Burnley, you're right, you'll have one of the best RBs in the league.

right backs are overrated. what you need is a moderately atheletic centre back, who can dominate at front and back post (and win some stuff in the mixer in the opposition box as well), and consign your right sided midfield player to doubling up to cover the RB position.

Spurs stole Trippier ... I think they paid 10m less than Pool paid for Clyne (who is also very good)

I'd much rather have Clyne than Trippier

@Marty : how good a job (hair aside, etc) is Derek McInnes doing at Aberdeen? Should I be hoping for/putting my money on him coming back to WBA as manager?
