Ya, he has more goals than anybody who isn't RVP, Sergio or Suarez since he came to England.

However, that's pretty irrelevant to the Rooney argument because he hasn't been played up top completely for a year since Benteke arrived!

last season we missed koscielny, ozil, wilshere, ramsey, walcott, giroud for much of the beginning of the season and didn't have coquelin. Worst start in ~15 years, we were out of the title race in October.

Like, we were playing Monreal/Chambers at CB.

why is Everton close to a flip to beat Watford at home? Watford stronger than the usual newcomer? Everton just shattered by injuries?

To tempt me into doing my brains on the first game of the season, thus condemning myself to 10 months of chasing my losses.

Injury concerns I guess. Latest whispers are Baines is out for 12 weeks. We shall soon see

Guys who'd you go with for your fantasy team? Berahino, Mane, Pelle, Bojan or Gomis?

I have space for 1 and can't really pick between them.

Excited for the season! Tottenham follower here, but will be pulling heavily for Bournemouth. My mother is from Dorset and I spent a lot of time in Sherborne as a kid. Very cool that Dorset is getting their first team to break into the top flight.

Assume this is FPL?

Mane/Pelle - Southampton are a streaky team when it comes to goalscoring. They can dry up for quite long periods. I prefer to look at bringing one of these two in when I see them coming into form, rather than before. They're too expensive to carry.

Bojan - Doubt for the match against Liverpool and a player who is prone to losing minutes. I think Hughes sees him as a luxury player so he might not start matches where it is felt that solidity is required and if he does start, may get hooked quite often around the hour mark if Stoke are ahead.

Gomis - Also a doubt first match although probably better than 50/50. Could turn out to be a shrewd move as he is capable of scoring lots. On the other hand, Swansea now have genuine options up front and it is possible he doesn't get as much game time as you might think.

Berahino - Would be my choice from that bunch. He'll usually start (unless he transfers) and will usually chip away. West Brom don't score many but when they do it's usually him. He has pens too I believe.
