I'm wondering, in single games, how much a team/player's 'momentum' is just the other side being consciously or subconsciously defeated, causing them to play a much worse? Are they just two sides of the same coin?

this just reminded me of the 'fear factor'

I remember reading an article on the BBC website that the fear factor had gone at OT (during Moyes' reign)

and I was like, has the fear factor gone cos we're losing, or are we losing cos the fear factor has gone?

also Moyes just reminded me - we sacked him as soon as it was mathematically impossible for us not to finish top 4

same for LVG?

There is no chance LVG gets sacked considering what has went on out on the pitch all of this season. They've kept him this long so I don't see them doing anything different now.

point is* that there might be a provision in his contract to let him go cheaply if we fail to finish top 4 or qualify for the CL in general
