We seem to be on BT Sport 80% of the time we're on TV. I'm ****ed if I am paying any more money, in fact, I'm inclined to cancel my Sky Sports subscription since I never seem to use it.

Why?

Personally wouldn't mind them taking the rest of the relevant football from sky.

Had my virgin media contract mch longer than the initial 2 years...called them and renegotiated a new deal at 25% less...try that Hoopie, doesn't hurt to ask.

Or you could just download Kodi.tv for your laptop/tablet like the rest of us.

As a larger point, it will be interesting to see how the pricing will develop as those two compete more. How much would a standard package with both Sky and BT sport cost?

It seems as though the Sunday games have been worse this season and the 12.45 BT game has more often been a big game.

SB was unwatchable garbage

I don't mind whether it's with Sky, BT or whoever - I just think that it is utter bull**** that competition is somehow meant to be created by having two providers. Competition is having the same games on two channels and being able to pick between the two.

I might give Kodi a spin though.

- sky/BT definition of competition is getting the prices as high as possible, ****s.

When you dl kodi it'll be blank so first you need to add phoenix and robocop.....rest is useless.

Google is your friend for that.

Sky Sources saying a Chinese Club have bid £38m for Payet. West Ham bought him for £11m didn't they?
02-09-2016 , 09:02 AM
WTF at the rise of the Chinese overlords? Are they planning to make the superleague? or just another Anzhi type billionaire bored?
02-09-2016 , 09:11 AM
I would take it with a large grain of salt. The club are trying to sort him a new contract, I dare say it's his agent trying to squeeze a couple more quid out of the Spunk Brothers.

Moving to China before u are like 30+ has got to be a bad move for ur career right? Especially if u are still relevant, I doubt the bench $$$ in the premier league is that much lower than playing in China

I've not been following Derby - maybe they see it the same as mclaren in that they both are coaches rather than managers.

Re: China, I heard on the bbc five live podcast (worth checking out). There are loads of very rich people with nothing to spend their money on plus local "governments/councils" or what ever the hell they are known as over there and pumping money into too.

The alleged Chinese offer to Payet is worth £135k a week after tax. He's on around £75k a week currently but a new contract will obv push that over £100k.

There seems to be several clubs in the Chinese League looking to splash big so I don't think we have an Anzhi type situation. It feels somewhat comparable to the Indian Premier League in the cricket, basically willing to pay huge to get elite talent and build from there.

They offered Meier €7M/y apparently. Gotta be like 4x what he makes at Frankfurt? That's pretty insane.

They appointed him as head coach. If they wanted a manager they should have appointed one.

Award the 18 and 22 world cups to China?

Surely their leagues are gonna need the same boost that was given to USAno1.

I await pages of posts on this matter.

Has the ropocob kodi thing not been working lately? Couldn't get it to show more than a few seconds each time this weekend. Thought I was just being my usual technologically challenged self, but then phoenix worked like a charm for the suberbowl.

Don't really get why they are giving him a new deal. His current one runs till he is 33....there doesn't seem to be too much value extending and committing to paying a 34yo Payet £100k+ in 5 years time.

On Saturday it was perfect for the whole Spurs game, weekend before I couldn't get it to work.

I opened it about 20 mins before kickoff and had zero problems.

There's plenty of value in having someone that's happy to be at the club and not angling for a move because he doesn't feel he's getting paid market rate.

For a whole 6 months till he starts whining about CL football....

1) That's not a certainty.
2) If that's the case, we'll sell him in the summer and he'll probably have played better over the remaining four months. It also makes your point about him getting £100k a week when he's 33 moot/bollocks.

History teaches you that owners greed
Is always there though sometimes on hold.
So if you aren't affected and stay passive,
If you say "It's not my tickets".

Bullet dodged, you're fine today.
But when you're on the receiving end.
Money men's numbers on their papers,
Will make you weep for the fans they plunder.

And if you tolerate this then your children will be next.
And if you tolerate this then your children will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.

Prices keep you out the ground,
Should be the owners shame.
For locking out the true fans and trying to win the money game.

We could let it go today,
Protesting makes us feel rough,
But if not now then when do we show them that enough is enough?

And if you tolerate this then your children will be next.
And if you tolerate this then your children will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.

And for the match tonight, he's in the pub.
With his lad who's never been and can't afford to watch his club.

And if you tolerate this then your children will be next.
And if you tolerate this then your children will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.
Will be next.
