Re: English Football 2015/16
who's available for us to spend huge on? Seems like almost all of the players we want that would cost 40m+ either don't want to leave their club or their club don't want them to leave.

Feels like transfer day deadline is going to be a good one this year. Can see Kane+Stones for 110m panic buy by United.

Liverpool are nailed on for a win here. No way they will lose to Stoke. Yes they lost 6-1 to Stoke last time but they'd all but given up by that point, last away game of a disappointing season. This is a completely different team now high in confidence with title aspirations.
I wouldn't feel too confident about Southampton either, they did well after losing some of their best players the previous season last time but there is only so much you can take away from a team before they buckle. Clyne and Schneiderlin are a major loss to that team. Newcastle have made a couple of decent signings too and think they will improve on last season. I'd still favour Southampton to win against them but it's definitely not something you should be lumping on.

Re: English Football 2015/16
Giroud seemed to be play very well (or run hot) at the end of last season. I seem to get a lot of unconfirmed rumours that Theo is more considered the main man at the moment, contact extension and all?

Re: English Football 2015/16
United did not get Vidal and other tier 1 players because competitively they're ****.
This is no 10 years ago, United is on a 2 year big big slump and it's hurting transfer.

It is more like speculation. If I had to guess I would say Giroud to start vs WHU. We'll see

Theo seem to be very mediocre most of the time when played up front. I'd prefer to just get him some consistent games in the position and see what he got to offer but the pleb in me think Giroud will start against most teams. (and theo/ox on the right)

Re: English Football 2015/16
Decided I'm gonna try something new this year. Optimism.
I did the "if you don't have expectations, you'll never be disappointed" for my 25 years.
And I can confirm it still sucks.
So, careful optimism is the line I'm taking this year.

Re: English Football 2015/16
I think the boss really loves ox and wants him in the side which means it will likely be a giroud OR theo question instead of both. I guess he could play all 3 but then that means one of santi or ramsey not likely to play.
My guess? He will start walcott if he wants to force the other team to play a deeper line (he specifically said this is why he started him vs chelsea). For teams that will naturally sit deep my guess is he would play giroud to have a big target in the box to play off of.
I'm not sure that makes much sense because walcott had some really good movement against teams that sat deep and giroud is such a massive outlet if we are playing on the back foot to pluck long balls out of the air and hold up/link with runners. If he has walcott/ox flanking him that forces the other team to play deep anyway.

Does this mean that Stoke are going to win so easily or plop are going to win so easily? I'm (easily) confused.
