Yea. Last season the rest of the field was poor so playing 10 against 11 Man Utd players wasn't a problem. This year the competition is stronger and not sure we can get away with playing well past it forwards. We'll see but not optimistic on Costa's injury problems. Remy is ok.

I'm pretty Luke warm on Chelsea. If Costa is not healthy I think they may struggle a bit, I'd be a little weary as a Chelsea fan.

Jose does find ways to monotonously grind out results, but a little bad luck and they could find themselves staring at an early point deficit. Chelsea much harder to deal with when the onus isn't on them to be attacking and aggressive, so if they have to play top teams needing wins instead of draws could be a bad situation.

If falcao can be like not broken then they should be in fine shape , but I've seen nothing from him to indicate he isn't just damaged goods.

Chelsea have a bunch of guys that can score. Remy seems like a decent option in a worst case scenario.

Yea I don't think I would offer that. Did consider a GD bet vs field which I offered last season, but if the time comes for us to grind from February then it will be single goal victories while one day City play spuds and stick 6 past them and it's gg me.

Definitely agree with this. Safety first vs any moderately decent team.

I did offer that. Not anymore though.

What I had in mind when i offered that bet :

1) Chelsea did score more goals than Arsenal last season (and over the last few seasons) despite having Costa miss about a third of the season and were grinding for results late in the season since the title was theirs basically.

2) If Falcao turned out not to be the corpse of himself, that'd be a big bonus even though I did not have much hope about him. Now it looks like he's just gonna be awful for the rest of his career

3) I looked at the odds for best scoring team in the league and if iirc it was like 1. City 2. Chelsea (5/2) 3. Arsneal (4/1) which admittedly surprised me.

Never sure how serious people are when they talk about bus parking, can only defend, can't score goals etc... but with that in mind i was sure there'd be people to underrate Chelsea's attacking and felt pretty good about the bet. I'm sure i'm gonna be less worried about it once arsenal players have their injury crisis
