i blame murica. team owners over there have a weird dominant role, they are the owners of the team like its just another company, and if they feel the company isnt as profitable as it could be then they'll just relocate their place of business as if they're tesco. and if you as a fan dont like it then you're quite free to go consume some other product.
there's no sense that a team owner should be a sort of custodian who keeps things ticking over on behalf of the fans.
i think its best exemplified by the fact that you always see these doddering 95 year old white bewigged blokes with their 78 year old hideous plastic surgery gone wrong wives* on the field getting handed trophies and making dumb altzheimers-inflected speeches when their team wins. kroenke and the glazers brought that culture over here and as a result mun & arse have gone through chronic underinvestment.
either that or wenger & saf are just tightarses that cant believe a mars bar isn't 16p any longer
arabs and russian gangsters otoh do it right.
*i have the broncos in mind but this description covers >50% of nfl owners
Oh look, we release a youth player and he finds himself in the 18 of someone in the same division 24 hours later, remind me who we'll play centre mid when our fifteen grand a week loan player gets banned after tonight when he collects another inevitable booking?
edit - I assume he was released as he couldn't get a time under 2:30 on Ninja Warrior
Welbeck was supposed to be three weeks away six months ago, but I will be so happy to see him back in our squad finally. Just really enjoy watching him play.
Plop losing on pens or 2-1 (last minute) Stoke aet? What's better? Also if it stays as it is will Klopp spend the 5 minutes before et and /or penalties shouting at the dead tired players or applause in front of the kop?
Not sure why keepers are allowed to fly in like that to clear, that was marginal as to in the box or not, but if it was out he surely needs to be regarded as an outfield player, and anyone doing that on the halfway line gets a card regardless of if they win the ball
